my favourite movie of all time, i've been watching it maybe 2 times a year since I first saw it.

starting with the music and ending with the actor performances, everything is perfect for me in this movie. mihalkov is agenius, menishikov and dapkunaite are great too

You don't have to explain anything to me. I am writing from the comfort of an armchair in the West, but my great-grandfather was sent to Siberia.. and by the Tsar, so it doesn't matter whose in power, the most incredible things can happen to you if you buck the system, whatever it is.( for example: try saying you don't believe in Jesus Christ in Arizonal) And as for politics... america is going down a strange surveillance of the populace path that is terribly reminiscent of other world regimes.
