  • alright i support jared abd all theses videos cuz obviously theyre free and awesome lessons..... but who really hasnt thought he looks like Nick Swardson...?

  • @jonmur77 Nick Swardson is Jared Falk....Jared Falk IS Nick Swardson....Falk and Swardson....Swardson and Falk!!!! Oh my gash!!! NICK SWARDSON IS JARED FALK!!!!

  • @freedrumlessons I was thinking if Napoleon Dynamite cut, bleached, and gelled his hair he'd be Jared Falk

  • what type of ear phones are those?

  • @yankee014 Shure EC3's.

  • I just have a general question. I am going to buy a drum kit this December, and I was wondering what would be a good beginner kit? I probably will be getting it from Guitar Center. Thanks!

  • @mattdawg83686 I got a Tama Imperialstar when i first started 4 years ago. It came with with snare,bass,2 rack toms, a floor tom, Meinl crash, ride, hihats, and all the hardware whis is awesome. It also came with a free china but I dont know if they still offer that. It was a sweet deal and i still use it and love it and it works awesome. Tama has really good hardware too. Its an awesome set. But defenitly check out others too, such as Pearl. :D

  • Nice! I like your energy and very good videos; however, I don't have a drum set yet, so sucks for me!.

  • Excercise 4 Californication :DDD...just with cross sticking :P

  • @DrummerKidd1200 Tighten the actual metal snares with the nob beside your snare drum.

  • jared do you use promarks?...

  • @DrummerKidd1200

moongels and rings are mostly for getting the overtones out of the drum. you can try loosening the snare wire using the throw off but that will change your snare sound as well. overall, the snare buzz isn't a bad thing.

  • This must be old, he's got all his hair!

  • Was this lesson filmed before you made the switch to Pro mark?

  • hey Jared If u have a spare double bass pedal can i have it!!! please!. i want to start using double pedal!

  • @drummasta23 thats gonna fail

  • @drummasta23 i just bought the cheapest ones i could find:D and it's damn hard to play them

  • @themrsunshineyay dude just practice using your feet all the time, like listening to a song in the car or something just use your right foot for bass and left for snare, thats how i practiced, hopefully it helps you too =]

  • @gougeoutureyes hope fully not while driving lol

  • I love the new lesson format where Jared is actually Jared and not a robo-tutor =D Blooopers FTW!!!!!

  • i think why some drummer flip the stick another side is also because some are traditional grip player, which is easier to filp another side quickly to get the stroke

  • @pion247 most people do it because it gives a fatter sound, specially useful when recording.

  • haha! You learned from COBUS!! nice :D

  • @rikusjoh what did he learn from cobus??

  • @conzye the one stick fill trick ;)

  • Maybe this technique is 'side-sticking' not 'cross-sticking'? cross-sticking and side-sticking are not the same!

  • YEEAH!!
