I had this and LOVED it! Wish they would make one like it again for my girls (the new ones are all covered in total ho makeup - whats the pont of putting makeup on her then??) I could never get the hair to look like the commercial :)

My cousin Tina had one of these. But I preferred the smaller Barbie I loved dressing her, putting her in her sportscar, Putting her in her Dreamhouse, her swimming pool. I even played she and Ken took Skipper to the movies in the Jeep.I put the jeep in front of the TV and pretended it was a Drive In Movie.

@dorkydorkone this is true however this was actually released in 1978 when they release superstar barbie they stamp it 1977 because it is when they completed the design and then put it on the marker the following year...

oh my GOD!! The "Barbie you're beautiful!" girl is ME! I've been looking for this for YEARS! My hubby just found it and woke me up to come show me. <3 <3 :O Where did you find this and how can I find more? I did several commercials for Mattel in the mid 70's and would love to see them again. :)
