my beagle barks at cats all the time. the first time she ever got close to one, she did not know what to do, she sat there and barked at at, she was scared.xD second time, she had gotten out and bit the cat in the leg

Beagles are VERY into ear health! Mine is always trying to clean out my ears when I'm asleep or clean the cats ears, much to his discomfort! lol

One of my beagles is scared of cats. If the cat is sitting in her path, she won't simply go around it, she'll howl until it either moves, or you pick it up yourself. The cat loves her though, which freaks her out a bit when it rubs against her. So no kitty-licking like your beagle! They have such pretty eyes!

Ernie (the cat) arrived as a six-week old kitten, and Jenny (the Beagle) adopted him as her own. They shared the dog bed for a long time. Ernie is now grown up and more independent, but he still sometimes cuddles with Jenny.
