  • Well, the maker of this film s also DIShonest. He has not sold ... his computer, right? I shall suffer FOR CHRIST's sake, stand spitting, but NOT if it is done for ANY OTHER reason. Saying otherwise is twisting God's word. For HIS sake we are to endure all, but not for the sake of a bad boss at work, or a father/husband-neighbout that beats you up because he is nuts. God loves humility, but also wants us to be a royal priesthood for him, and this involves some pride in Him, right? Shalom!

  • ??????????

  • Hey! This is so inspiring! I’m a missionary kid from Guatemala. Who can I talk to about getting permission to translated this in Spanish? I feel like the English speaking people have such a free, inspirational overload, while at the same time, those who dont know the language are at such an opposite extreme! Please contact me!

  • Jesus siad sell all you have and follow his teachings.

  • It will cost you everything!

  • In response to the video. When Jesus siad I am the way, truth, and life no man gets to the father but by me. Really that means we are to follow his teachings, anybody who thinks uttering the word Jesus is going to save them at no cost is a completely incompetent fool. Jesus or Isa siad that the first commandment is to worship God alone and that the servant is not greater than the master. Jesus siad that we have to submit to the will of God for salvation.

  • Romans 12:1-2. That is what we have to do ppl. Our flesh cringes and thinks about how extreme it would be to go and leave everything and preach the Word of God, not knowing where you're going to stay. And as we become more spiritual, our flesh leaps in anticipation to do these things but all of it ends in selfishness and pride, more for us than for God. Offer yourself to God, as a branch to prune. When you offer yourself to Him, He will prune you day by day, and you will find His perfect will.

  • @JogaHenryBonito Read the Word daily. Pray to Him daily. Ask Him to lead you in the way everlasting, and to reveal the idols that you are carrying. And ask the Holy Spirit to weaken your will so these idols may drop. Step by step. Day by day. Sometimes we stay back holding on to our flesh and the Holy Spirit has moved ahead. Sometimes we go ahead of the Holy Spirit, carrying our flesh with us. Let Him lead. And follow Him, don't lead Him and don't stay behind. Blessings brothers and sisters.

  • Our Pastor just showed us this video after his sermon :)

  • AMAZING.

  • i watch that 3 time my head hurt from that

  • Broad is the way which leads to hell.

  • False preachers are the Judgement of God to the Sinful people. People are being decieved all over America.

  • Narrow is the way, and few are those who shall find it.

  • There is a way to pursue righteousness that leads to hell. There is also a way to pursue it which leads to eternal life in heaven. There is a righeousness without which no one will see the lord. The evidence of that prayer you prayed in church is found in regeneration. The doctrine of regeneration is a lost doctrine that is no longer being taught in the church. If salvation was really as easy as uttering a sentence asking Jesus to save you then that would be a broad way to heaven and is a lie.

  • Not everybody who infatically declares the name of the Lord is going to heaven. Jesus siad, many will say lord lord we did many mighty works in your name, but he will dismiss them as evil doers "Depart from me, you Spirit of iniquity, I never knew you." The evidence of the prayer for salvation is not the act. What saves us in Christ is perserverance in righteousness and holiness. Jesus siad, Only those who do the will of the father shall enter the kingdom. It is a narrow path, not the broad path

  • I think the author is speaking for himself. Jesus, in fact commands us to follow after him and do greater works than him because he goes to the father. It says that in the Bible. Ah, brothers do not fall into the trap of these false preachers.

  • @brassoadam You are 100 percent right... What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.

    12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless;

there is no one who does good, not even one.”

    Romans 3:10-12

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

Also, we need to understand Christians, Jews and Muslims (not the terrorists) all serve the same god. People misquote and misinterpret scripture which I believe has been changed by people and caused these faiths to deviate from the original teaching of God. Abraham is the first in the new blood line, and there are two sides. The side of Ishmmael and the side of Issac. Jesus and Abraham taught WORSHIP GOD WITHOUT PARTNERS (Idols). Trinity not in Bible.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

I challenge you to type trinity 325AD into google and there is info on it. It was a concept created and forged by the nicene creed under constatine. Also, I as a Christian study both Bible and Qur'an. Do not believe what the media tells you. There is a connection between the doctrines, but you need to first understand MUSLIMS are Commanded to read the Bible and Torah. Bible is the set of laws, but the Qur'an is more about recitation and faith. Godisone

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

By the way, Muslims if you study their relgion do believe Christ is the Messiah and Christ according to biblical prophesy. Qur'an does not tell muslims to kill christians or jews. That passage is referencing a war that took place between the Arabs and the Muslims. There were arabic bibles and arab christians and Jews in anncient arabia who got caught in the cross fire when the war happened against the pagans who worshipped idols. self defense isalowed.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

The jews moched jesus and ultimately wanted him dead, when king of the jews was posted over the cross it was a form of moching his authority in God. Jesus never said he was God, and if you read the Bible properly you find he never directly states I AM SON OF GOD. However, he is the savior to us and the perfect living sacrafice based on his life and teachings. I heard saints added the original message, but everything I wrote here is the truth.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

Funny thing is that the Jews in Israel today do not believe Jesus is coming back. The muslims and christians believe he is coming back to fufill the biblical prophesy. Want to why the Jews in israel do not believe. That is because they are not the true Jews. The bible says the true jews were scattered throughout the four corners of the Earth (Those of the 12 tribes of Israel). They will be reunited in the last days.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

Often called the lost tribes. Infact, Jews and gentiles (Muslims and also Christians) can be saved. However, lets remember that there was a fight over a birth right between Esau and Jacob. Believe it or not Esau sold his birthright and God gave it to Jacob. God says in bible he hatieth Esau and will curse future generation in his bloodline. Not everybody who infatically declares jesus to be lord will enter, but only those who do the will of God.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

God curses us for the sins of our fathers. It says it in the bible and the reason for that is because their spirit gets transfered to us if they were under a curse. There are bloodlines who are blessed and there are bloodlines who are cursed. I encourage you to study lineage because it is extremely important to know your lineage.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

The first commandment Jesus siad is recorded in both Bible and Qur'an. "Hear O' Israel, Worship your lord and my lord, the lord our God is One."

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

Jesus questioned people who called him good. He actually says in the bible that only God is good. The servant is also not greater than the master. He says these things.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

I have done extensive research and seeking God. The benefit I have is that i was not raised that way. God lead me to the truth and I have studied it all my life. Often people raised a certain way tend to be closed minded, but to fully understand God you have to submit to his understanding and not yield to your own. I also learned that Muhammed, peace be upon him, was actually a direct decendant of Abraham's son Ishmmael. Abraham had two sons.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

Another controversy is the question. Does God have pride? Some say no. Others say maybe. But did you know that God would be right into his boasting because he is righteous and the creator of all things? He is the planner, the watcher, and the giver of cause. He gives life, blesses the young, and offers security to the believers. Let me ask you a question. Why wouldn't a God like this be proud of his work? It was only wrong for satan to have pride.

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

There is an error in saying Satan was once an angel. Angels are created from light so they have to obey. How can an angel be controled by God and be fallen at the same time? Satan was actually a jinn created from fire who had free choice, but he did not want to accept the human creation and so he threatened to rise above God. He was bannished and casted down to the earth(God's footstool.)

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

Another problem I see in churches is that they teach satan is the elohim of this world, but my bible says the earth is the lords and everthing thereof. God runs the world not satan. Satan was defeated and his fate is near.

  • @brassoadam Woh didn't think I'd get so much of a response. Much of what we imagine to be true or belive we understand is veiled by the limitations of human understanding. The key to knowing the truth is adherence to God's law which is no more complicated than rejection of self-interest and understanding why this is necessary. But the first step in this understanding is the realization of Christ's divinity and Holy sacrifice and the acceptance of his payment for sin's curse...

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater

You were correct in your first response when you siad "You are 100 percent right."

  • Comment removed

  • @brassoadam Actually now that i really read what you are saying a little closer I agree with you about some of it, but you are dead wrong if you don't understand that Jesus is the son of God. Are you calling Francis Chan a false teacher. You are all over the place man, if you are the truth teacher you need to pull your act together if you want any students. I'm not going go into great detail but beyond the veil is the truth, have you stepped beyond the veil or are you still alive?

  • @AstrocodeMusicwater I need to strike that first comment brass ol buddy you are not 100 percent right, you are around 50 percent right. You really can't dazzle me with your creds. I won't disclose mine but they are from beyond this world and don't leave me any room to wonder out loud about this detail here and that detail there.

  • Holy. I'm working hard at school so that I don't have to live like Jesus did, essentially. Living like Him terrifies me. Shameful. Man, this gave me a lot to think about. Thank you for this.

  • DOOD YER A BEAST!!!!! I love how you paused the audio at different times for effect, awesome job, and thank you Chan, and most of all thank you Jesus!!!!!

  • Very well done! I loved the message too. “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ.” Gandhi

  • man im really looking form someone to help me do kinetic typography for a sermon by Pastor Matt Chandler. Do you think you can help me out? if you can please please email me at wc_garrettjr@yahoo.com

  • People love Justification by they hate Sanctification. Can't have one without the other. Amen.

  • no historical proof of the existence of Jesus. pure and simple. Josephus is accepted as a fraud. youtube j8ZMMuu7MU

  • @ihventura Josephus isn't the only one who records an historical Jesus. There's more historical proof for Jesus than there is for George Washington.

  • @Bellabells89 There is? Like what?

  • EZEKIAL 4:12

"And thou shalt eat the food as you would a barley cake; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel."

  • *sigh i feel as if he could have wrote a more better conclusion so people would get a better understanding, i feel as if most of short videos are just message to tell people *do you really believe in god* which is fine i guess, although some of his other videos are great i am not saying i can do better but i have had better understanding through some of his videos but most of my teachings were from the bible itself, and when you truly believe you will UNDERSTAND the scriptures =) so lets start

  • Amazing video and perfect sermon message to pick. Just what I needed!

  • Yeah it's real easy to live like Christ...well he forgot to mention the whole super powers thing, the whole son of God thing...the really important stuff. I know personally that i live my life according to Christ but i can't turn water into wine, so i really think it's unfair of this guy to guilt people into being something they aren't. not the best way to teach christ. not at all. i left this video feeling guilty and ashamed of my life, not renewed in my vigor for being a servant of god.

  • He should be capitalized but other than that good job. If you refer to the Son of God He is capitalized. He is our Savior Redeemer any name in reference to Him is capitalized.

  • @SKIDELYD00 I appreciate your comment. You should remember, though, that the original languages of the Bible didn't use capitalization. I don't intend to start a debate on this, and normally I do capitalize as you mentioned.

  • @bandobeek Yeah I'm not trying to start a debate either but a lot of people don't realize HOW great God is and just out of reverence I believe capitals should be used. I wasn't trying to put you out. People just don't have the fear of God anymore.

  • We will be known for our love for one another. Not our love for doctrine or the right belief but our love for one another. What is the greatest commandment?

1 John 2:2- He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.

1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.

    whatthehellbook . com

  • He misses the entire point of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Do you really want God Incarnate as your role model? It is an impossible standard to live up to, which is why it took God himself to do it! This is nothing but a New Law. And the law of God puts human beings to death. This is NOT the Good News of Christ! It is works based righteousness. My name is Devin, i am proud to say I am a sinful human being who has been liberated by the work of Jesus Christ by Faith through HIS Grace Alone!

  • @dmstephenson13 No Devin, you've missed Chan's entire point! He's speaking to Christians who profess faith in Christ but don't pursue a passion to be like Him. He's rebuking Christians who settle for comfort, not complete commitment. He's NOT saying salvation is by works! In his books and sermons, he's clear that our righteousness is as filthy rags & that only God's grace saves us. Listen in humility b4 you proudly pronounce someone else in error. Why r people so eager to condemn w/o knowledge?

  • I understand your point Devin but at the same time if we are truly saved we will have fruit of the Spirit. As the same we do with scripture so must we do with pastors, not just select one single snap shot of a message or passage and base our opinion of that but examine it as a whole. Francis Chan does not believe in salvation by works but I can understand how you took it as that. It is important to remember even Apostle Paul, Moses, King David and ourselves would burn in hell without Jesus.

  • If Jesus existed, which is highly doubtful, he must be one of the more deplorable characters from history. Convincing people they are inherent sinners through inheritance and offering his snake-oil cure is dastardly and despicable. To pin the punishment of an evil ancient trickster god concept on humankind is atrocious. The people who thought it up knew this, so they probably invented Jesus to take that blame.

  • GEEZUS

  • @number1ninjaman Thanks! :)

  • Found a new favorite verse! :)

  • so good :P watched bout 8 times :P

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • @miissqueenbee You're welcome, and thank you for watching and commenting!

  • Saw this video used in a youth service. Awesome!!

  • @123nelliebell That's so exciting! Where was your youth service?

  • So this is sooooo true!

  • SO true.

  • Everybody knows its Apollo that saves the world.

  • Cool message Bro but don't forget, Jesus was/is God. We are not. We can try and emulate Him but as fallen, sinful beings we can never match Him. This can rub off on some as a guilt trip for not measuring up and have the opposite effect than that which was intended.

Eph 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. God Bless...

  • The problem with your argument is man wrote the bible not god.

  • @katiebleh If you have an openness to consider a few things, here are some scripture references on the inspiration of the Bible:

2 Peter 1:20-21 "knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."

2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is breathed out by God..."

  • @bandobeek You're using circular logic. What is the proof that the bible was not written by man if you're citing the source written by man itself? Wouldn't it be more constructive to use a source outside of the bible? or your own personal beliefs. Asshole Atheist vs Asshole Christian arguments go nowhere btw.

  • @bandobeek Using parts of the bible to try to prove the validty of the bible doesn't work. I could do the same thing with "clifford the big red dog" - You need a third party souce to prove the validity, some other document, several document, stone tablets whatever - but there isn't.

  • @bandobeek How can you defend the legitimacy of the bible with quotes FROM the bible?! Unreal...

  • @katiebleh The problem with that argument is that you cannot take any of history as fact. All of it must be regarded as fairy tales, simply because it cannot be proved because it was written by "man".

  • jesus not your role model? join hedonism

    *puts on sunglasess*

  • I'm not a christian, but I just wanted to say that this is fantastic. A wonderful message that so many Christians like to tote about without truly living by it. Fantastic, and I think everyone can get something from it (christian or not).

  • Cool Fairy tale.

  • wonderful and inspiring. a short video that makes reflect on their everyday activities

  • Wow. That's gives me a whole new perspective on walking with Jesus... This is extremely fascinating...

  • What program did you use to do this?

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

  • Well God said I will remember your sins no more because Jesus covered our shame our sin with his blood.

  • @kelvin100394 "Well God said I will remember your sins no more because Jesus covered our shame our sin with his blood.

    "

Is that a rationale to excuse yourself from following in the same path as Jesus?

  • This is because people are not perfect this falls all under SIN we can never walk like Jesus did because we have sin. Jesus was holy no sin at all. But He came down on earth to save you. Now you ask save me from what? He saved you from hell fire. Only through Jesus you may be saved. Of course we can't live life like Jesus did and walk as Jesus did. We have Sin that is the thing that seperated us from Jesus Christ.... Sin

  • Awesome!! great job :)

  • Exactly - walk like Jesus - in the Spirit - no your not gonna be God - ridiculous......and full of LAW - which we don't follow...........

  • @AlloNeson Christ didn't abolish the Law but fulfilled it. See Jesus' words in Matthew 5:17-18 "'Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.'"

  • @bandobeek

But it was accomplished when He paid the price for our sins on the cross. That is why we have a new and better covenant. We no longer live under the law but under grace. We live it out because the spirit of the law is written in our hearts. The law was intended to point out our sin, it is for sinners. When we repent and accept Jesus as Lord, we no longer need a taskmaster to teach us His ways because we will long to do the very things He loves :)

  • "1 John 2:6, Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did." That includes being spat on, mocked, persecuted...but "did not retaliate" nor "made no threats, instead he entrusted himself to him who judges justly" 1Pet2:22,23

a prophet is without honor in his own home - Jesus Matt.13:57

  • You should add some music to the background :)

  • What sermon message is this from?

  • Awesome!!!! This is the best video I have ever seen!!!! Very inspirational!!! I love this so much! Thank you for this post!!!

  • Aawesommeee awesssommme but. You forgot to add the word during right after the word suffer. :) God bless you all! Rapture Day is coming!!

  • dude add music!

  • what program did you use for this?

  • @jd4unt I used Adobe Illustrator and AfterEffects CS4

  • Can you please tell me what sermon this is from? I'd like to hear the whole thing. This was really great. .. Thank you for sharing.. .

  • No problem, and thanks for commenting. This clip is from a series entitled Christ Centered Relationships, and it is the second message of the series.

  • nice experiement - i felt the stroke at the end to highlight the letters was a bit much tho - cuz you did a good job of laying it out clear enough to see it. Props!

  • Amen!

  • You remind me of Norman Greenbaum your one song is to out honest the rest of the Church. It is tiresome and been done. Try letting the Holy Spirit talk to people and not your need for one upmanship.

  • @Boenairgeez56 it's hard to know what people's motives are in what they say but i believe we should glean what we can from any sermon. it's the truth in the message that is important. this is why Paul was able to rejoice at the gospel being preached through questionable motives (Phi 1:18). statements about one upmanship could be said about any preacher. i would encourage you that wherever God's truth is proclaimed we must look at ourselves. question unsound teaching but if it is sound rejoice!

  • love it!

  • Hi, most of my heros are in the bible. If you want to learn how to be a good Christian read the bible an see how the people in the new or old testament lived. sure they sinned, but read on. See how they went to God for forgiveness an how they turned their lives around to become His. They lived simple lives, they helped others an willing gave to Him. Not complaining, but giving all with no thought of getting something back for it. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, Believe in Him !

  • @uvwak thankyou for writting this piece, most of the people who believe in god were not perfect in fact most of the people god used have sinned BUT because of this their life went down and found god in the process and god used these people to spread their message of deliverence, but these people who have changed their liFES FULLY BELIEVED AND committed their lives therefore god was there for them ^*

  • Respond to this video... The people in the bible god chose was out of grace, to show gods grace, he sent down his only son to suffer for our sins, that shows how much he really loved us, "gods people" in his kingdom were people who believed in him and was willing to be guided by him and live by righteousness

  • @53catman but that is not to say they were not looked down or tortured by the world but it did not bother them for they were true believers i wish i can be more brief but if you were thrown off by these videos you must watch his other videos to get a better understanding or yet go to church, read the bible, one day you will fully understand and when you doyou will live eternally ^* bless all you who have found god =)

  • The general public will not understand.. his videos are more for Christians who have a better understanding it might take a different way to speak about it =) so don't be discouraged you will find your way =)

  • @uvwak I must thankyou again for this was by far the best comment on the page, may god bless you =)

  • Um, kind of gives me a headache. Awesome message!! Less twisting/turning next time? :)

  • That's really good.

  • Praise God for his use of Francis Chan (and your talents). Your video was great!

  • @combatcarry Which video, the one posted here?

  • majorly convicted

  • Dang. He brought the heat.

  • woww how awesome(:

  • Wow, very cool! I'm impressed.

  • Brandon, awesome work. Thanks for doing this. I just finished his second book, another great one. Have a great weekend!
