Nukes aren't supposed to hit the ground. They blow up in mid air since they are designed that way.

well it is afterall, a tactical nuke. Strategic nukes would destroy cities, but this wouldn't. In fact, some USAF nukes are only 500 tons of TNT, basically a dirty bomb.

the map is only about 1700-2000 meters, and that is a 1 Kiloton air launched device, with only a 350 meter blast radius, so therefore, for a tactical nuke, it is realistic, stop bitching

I know it's supposed to be small... but that's ...small. There's a house right next to the bomb that's still standing and also plenty of trees. I'd think that the game developers would make those destroyable in a certain radius around the bomb. Don't forget that Hiroshima nuke was a pathetic bomb compared to a modern nuke and still it wiped out an entire city.

Aside from that. The game looks awesome. Can't wait to play it.

Dude its a tactical nuke, if you read about them, they where ment to be small, so they could destroy smaller area's, or front line spots(groups of about 60 to 80 Russian tanks, or more than 8 companies, or the other way around)they where also ment to slow the advance of enemy forces

that is a 1 Kiloton bomb, with a blast radius of only 350 meters, meant to stop a advancing force, plus that is from close to when the game was released, lots of bugs, one of the more prominent ones was that a nuke would not destroy nearby buildings or knock down the trees, look at the release date of the game and the date of the vid, this vid is from 2 years ago, and most of the bugs you are complaining about have been fixed, so stop complaining about it

Well, I wrote this two months ago so It's not like I'm complaining about it now. I hadn't played the game at the time and I based my complaint on the observation I made on this and several other videos that I had watched (including the crazy ones where 30 nukes were detonated at the same time).

I fully understand that it would be ridiculous, game play vise, to create a bomb that destroys the entire map but I also find silly to see a house, still standing, right next to the blast.

I'm just saying that it would have looked better if the developers had worked on making the radius just slightly larger and all the terrain around it more susceptible to destruction.

It would be interesting touch if a strategy game were made where you receive resources and reinforces from territories that you own that had realistic nukes. Using a nuke in such situation would require careful consideration because the bomb would devastate the region making it useless and potentially damage the nearby regions.

Bottom line. Using a nuke would hurt you just as well as it would hurt the enemy.

I have a mod for this game called no hope. Every nuke is bigger. The base vanilla nuke is 2.5 times larger, which makes it alot harder to use without killing your own guys as well. Then theres the ICBM and the H bomb, both of which can take out the entire map. The nukes are pussy weak in this game, but if they were any stronger it would be unbalanced. Would be nice if their maps were like 10x bigger than they are now.

it depends on the file format you have. Try to change it to .wmv i think thats the right one but i think .avi might also work. But i know for sure that .wmv format works. Re-save it to that format and try to upload. I hope i helped.

Yes, but it isnt an entire nuke, its a 'smaller' version, cause its a 'Tactical Nuke' :) So it wouldnt be as easy to win the game, and if it was massive, it would wipe the map out, then you wouldnt be able to spawn due to radiation, therefore rendering the nuke Pointless. Which is why its smaller :)

ya that would be cool if there was a huge map like huge that would be cool for a mission where you are at an airfield and the map is huge but a big portion of the map is the desert (where you spawn) your objective is to send a real nuke (non-tactical nuke) to destroy the airfield an ground units.And then if there are any survivors you go to the airfield and eliminate them.
