Did you know that it's very damaging to your hair to run a hot implement such as a straightening iron through your hair more than once. You should run it along your hair slowly and only once. For very curly hair work in small sections. Teasing as well very bad. There are actually hair pieces out there for you to tease and clip on where you want the volume and all you do is place your own hair over the top to cover. Or you could use an implement called a bumpit. It's a plastic crescent shape.

its not too hard. but if ur nervous then id try it with a simple hairstyle first. all you need to do is use a brush (any will work; although some are better) or a teeth comb, and catwalk root heightner helps. but it isnt required. hope i helped :]

You could easily do this routine for longer hair, and it would still look super cute. In fact, for longer hair you have more options, like curling the hair that's left down for a super sweet feminine look or straightening it for a rocker chic edge. You might need a couple more bobby pins to keep all that hair back, but it would still be ultra pretty. Good luck! =]

love this video! one thing you might want to tell people about keeping your volume while straightening is you should avoid straightening at the root. this is a simple mistake that many people make ;)
