Everything from exactly 1:00 till the end of this video is considered apart of the Atlanta suburbs.. ..This place is tremendous, we SERIOUSLY need a new Bypass... I like how there's street lamps from 316 all the way until you get till I-285 and then they disapear making you think somehow you already went through Atlanta yet you havn't even arrived yet...

Actually the Metro Atlanta suburbs start from the beginning of the video, that's the Mall of Georgia exit (115).

Yes we need a new by-pass but the 197 mile "Outer Perimeter" is dead...for now.

What is the "Outer Perimeter"; is it like another I-285? If it is, are there any plans to build it and where will it go through?

The Outer Perimeter was proposed about 10-15 years ago, it was a 197 mile ring around Atlanta roughly 20 miles or so outside I-285 (It would have crossed I-85 between and I-985 and the Mall of GA exit.)

The road has been killed for now and I doubt it'll ever get built.

All those motorway miles and not one artic to be seen. (I think you call them 'semis'.) I wonder why there weren't any. You'll always find them on a UK motorway, usually chugging along at 56mph in the inside lane.

Maybe being a Saturday.. not so much freight on the road. Or maybe GA's rail-freight is so good, there's not much on the road? I know in Oz, our highways are packed with trucks (semi's) heading back and forth up and down the East Coast from Melbourne-Sydney-Brisbane all the way up here to Cairns constantly.

Tractor trailers aren't allowed through Downtown Atlanta, unless delivering to some place in Downtown: they are relegated to the Atlanta Bypass (I-285), otherwise.
