I really despise how stupid they make the characters act in the animated series of most of the Disney films, yet in the movies themselves they act whimsical and realistic. The animation is fluid and the two lovers act a lot more realistic. Anyway, can't stand all the comedy they add...

The Herc film was something of a bomb at the time, so the budget for the series was slashed drastically. We are lucky it got made at all. But what it lacks in first rate animation it more than makes up for in laughs.

@AgraEmily the series is not meant to teach people mythology. Its meant to entertain kids and give the parents {who know the real stories}a laugh. With the exception of screwing up the myths, which I admit they did pretty well its one of the most intelligent kids show toons ever made. In fact, I cant think of a smarter one.
@siliceb2 Except Percey took the idea over from Herc which came first by nearly 10 years....Herc also originated the idea of putting Tim Conway and a pal as mythological creatures in a nursing home for the aged, Spongebob took the idea and turned Tim and his pal into super heroes Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy and put THEM in a nursing home for the aged, and it was Hilarious!!! But Herc should have gottne more credit for their witty concepts.

do you know what killed this show??? at the time it aired, there was a lot of pressure for kids channels to put on educational programming---which they Hate to do. ...they lose so much money.They broadcast Herc at 5 am cause they figured..."Greek myths...its an educational show.. We've done our bit!" So either no one saw it or it was on SO early only tiny toddlers saw it and didnt like it.
You know this series can't fit into the movie. In the movie Herc first meets Hades at the stadium while hes trainning and acts like hes never met him before. But hes spends most of the series fighting him

what probably happened is, the series was being worked on and nearly finished before the movie was halfway done...and they changed things in the movie that they ciouldnt in the series.cause it was too late.Did you know John Lithgow was Hades originally, and they recorded and animated him and everything and then redid it cause they decided he wasnt funny enough?
It's kind of a sequel if you think about it. Because the other 64 episodes are mid-quels they happen when Hercs a teenager, and in this episode it all takes place after the movie. So it is a sequel.
They were inspired by Gerald Scarf, one of the most famous illustrators in the world.But if ya dont like the drawings just concentrate on the brilliant writing, the hilarioous one liners and the great sight gags.

Some clips from this show, unlike the rest of the series, like at the very end of this video, the first half of the episode, had really good quality. It made no sense that they would switch, except probably money issues.

@siliceb2 Except Percey took the idea over from Herc which came first by nearly 10 years....Herc also originated the idea of putting Tim Conway and a pal as mythological creatures in a nursing home for the aged, Spongebob took the idea and turned Tim and his pal into super heroes Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy and put THEM in a nursing home for the aged, and it was Hilarious!!! But Herc should have gottne more credit for their witty concepts.

do you know what killed this show??? at the time it aired, there was a lot of pressure for kids channels to put on educational programming---which they Hate to do. ...they lose so much money.They broadcast Herc at 5 am cause they figured..."Greek myths...its an educational show.. We've done our bit!" So either no one saw it or it was on SO early only tiny toddlers saw it and didnt like it.

You know this series can't fit into the movie. In the movie Herc first meets Hades at the stadium while hes trainning and acts like hes never met him before. But hes spends most of the series fighting him

Its definately a glitch....but we love the movie and the series anyhoo, warts 'n all!!!!
what probably happened is, the series was being worked on and nearly finished before the movie was halfway done...and they changed things in the movie that they ciouldnt in the series.cause it was too late.Did you know John Lithgow was Hades originally, and they recorded and animated him and everything and then redid it cause they decided he wasnt funny enough?

It's kind of a sequel if you think about it. Because the other 64 episodes are mid-quels they happen when Hercs a teenager, and in this episode it all takes place after the movie. So it is a sequel.

They were inspired by Gerald Scarf, one of the most famous illustrators in the world.But if ya dont like the drawings just concentrate on the brilliant writing, the hilarioous one liners and the great sight gags.

Why is hercules still in his armor suit and meg still in her cloth when they first met. If I had to direct this cartoon i would make a lot of changes that teh audience will be interested.

Some clips from this show, unlike the rest of the series, like at the very end of this video, the first half of the episode, had really good quality. It made no sense that they would switch, except probably money issues.

Exactly. The movie Hercules bombed bigtime, cause no one was getting the jokes, so they slashed the budget on the series and cancelled the movie sequal.Were lucky the TV show got finished at all!!!
