I'm not a big Bonnie Tyler fan... but I do appreciate her unique vocal style. She was so effusive and enthusiastic, performing on stage with APP, but unfortunately her vocal performance was really poor. Forgetting the lyrics as badly as she did, I bet the guys were sitting there thinking about what a f*ck up she was. Yikes.
@EduUshuaia Bonnie is the official singer of "Limelight", official track of olympia-song in Germany (ZDF). You don't know what about you speak. Sorry.
@timzerty The song has writed by Eric Woolfson, an the music by Alan Parson. I don't care if Bonnie Tyler is the designed "official" singer for the "Olympic chicken association", SHE DESTROY THE SONG , so sorry.-
@timzerty Limelight is from Alan Parsons Project album "Stereotomy (1985)". Bonnie Tyler released a cover of this song in 1995, in her album "Free Spirit". She used to have a beautiful voice at that time, a little raspy, but in this concert her voice is extremely raspy and husky!! Awful performance!
@nachocapo91 Yes. It's not smoke or alcool, Bonnie doesn't smokes and drinks, it's an operation on her throat in 1978, that's why she has got a voice like this. And "Limelight" in 1996 was the official song of Olympia, Atlanta 96.
To all the haters of Bonnie out there you should get your facts straight before commenting. She doesn't smoke had nodules taken off of vocal chords that is what gave her her unique and amazing voice. She also said at end of song "Sorry Alan" Bonnie is amazing and always has been apparently you haven't heard much of her music. Bonnie still rocks it!!!
OMG! I hop that this isn't on the DVD release. AP will have a hard time living down this mess. She doesn't even know half the lyrics or where her cues to come in were! When Alan has to sing the lines to show her what verse she's supposed to be on. OMG. Completely unproffessional like a bar band that's only been together for one or two gigs...Also, please Alan, bring back Ian Bairnson and Chris Thompson!
Ugh! I think at one point Bonnie HAD a really good voice, but here she has simply ruined Alan's music, she ought to lay off of those cigarettes! *Yucky vocals*
Sticking forks in my ears would be more tolerable then hearing Bonnie's voice, and that way out of tune guitar -- Truly excruciating! Way to ruin a great song.
guitar is out of fucking tune!!! im sorry, cuz these are geniuses and legends up here who are simply sucking comparative to what they can and have done...so they raised the bar high for themselves and they failed this song, but still, its just one song.
what a crappy performance. she ruined this lovely song. this is disrespectful to the public and to alan parsons himself. no wonder why she was a one-hit-wonder... shame on her.
You are totally right, my friend. Just for the fact the people vote - to posts like this doesn't mean you are not right. They don't have any criteria. They should atleast give their opinion. Personally, I think she was drunk while singing. That voice... I hate it. She doesn't have a woman's voice, but she doesn't have a man's either, it's something between them. I'm sorry, but this was a big fail... A BIG ONE... I would have done that better...
Actualizate
