It is unbelievable to drive a bus on ice without the tool which is to prevent skidding, let a car alone. I believe their time and lives much more valuable than the very tool. The price of 2000 USD should be reduced, though.

my best guess on why he couldnt back up is because when this story aired here in seattle last year. it said that he had slid down the hill that is behind him.

Wow thats crazy Chris, hope Darek is ok! I was the one that took this particular video, this was a block from my apartment.. I ran down the stairs on E Harrison street when I heard about it and spoke to the police and took a bunch of pictures, scary!!! I am really glad the bus didn't go all the way over.

My name is chris, i was in the first bus that went over the rail and i ask those that are willing to say a prayer for darek, he was sitting beside me and hit the seat pretty hard. he is in the hospitol right now and is recovering. we are all blessed to survive that crash and i just ask that some prayers go out to those still injured. thank god noone died on that bus friday but it sure was a cruddy way to start out winter break.
