  • Yeah, Anadarko weren't mentioned too much by the US government, wonder why? Oh yeah they're an American company and therefore are allowed to get it wrong. Obama handled this like an idiot, talking about kicking ass, what a fringe; is the rest of the world supposed to look at that guy and respect him? How unprofessional can a politician be?

I like Americans, but your politicians are a bunch of dickheads and you do need to look beyond your own borders and see the shit YOUR companies pull.

  • so they're basically saying it isn't fair BP is paying the price for something they themselves fucked up? I'm sorry, that seems very, very un-american. Basically, if you're poor and can't afford health insurance it's your own fault, you die, oh too bad, tough luck, but when it's a massive corporation that fucks something up that has an effect on millions of people all of a sudden they DON'T have to pay for their own mistakes? WHAT?

  • @shittyfagg The workers on the platform were American and BP didn't break any American laws. Only the US media didn't dwell on that too much and the US government certainly weren't going to point out the gaping hole in their law system. As it happens, BP is picking up the tab for the spillage.

I love the way America gets offended by this spill, yet thinks nothing of the spillages it's own companies cause and don't clear up ruining the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in the 3rd world

  • @WickyWiggstaz there are no laws that say that when you spill oil into the ocean you have to pay for the clean-up? Well if they're not there then yeah technically they didn't break any laws. Alright. Fair enough. You win, BP.

  • @shittyfagg No, there are no laws which prohibited their procedure. And that's why they were held accountable after all, they were said to have cut corners and not regarded saftey....but they were still operating within the laws of the US.

I never said they shouldn't put money into an account to pay out, in fact, I pointed out that they are paying for the damage, but equally the Americans cannot keep treating BP like criminals when they were abiding by YOUR LAW. It's not about winning you twat

  • @shittyfagg (part 2) Considering the fucking stunts American oil companies pull across the world, I find it hilarious that your politicians can speak as they have about BPs operation. It's even funnier when you look at what some of the American citizens had to say about it, not considering for 1 second how much worse other citizens of other countries have it at the hands of companies waving the "star spangled banner" "Take the log out of your own eye before taking the spec out of your brothers

  • @WickyWiggstaz alright calm down there. I'm not sure where you read that I'm American, so i'll sort that first. I'm dutch. Second, I don't like being called a twat, not even on the internet, and especially not by someone who appears to be making somewhat of a valid point. So don't do that.

And apparently you don't like Americans criticising British Petrol when they themselves have blood on their hands in other foreign countries, which is fair, but why is nationality such a big issue to you..

  • @shittyfagg nationality is not a big issue to me, I have many American friends, and I appreciate Europeans and British companies among others have done some shitty things abroad too. Difference is, in other countries the news highlights issues and people make clear that they aren't happy with it; meanwhile in the States the overwhelming majority don't give a shit about oil companies and poor procedures right until the point that it rocks up on their doorstep.

  • @WickyWiggstaz (part 2) i mean, no matter what flag a huge corporation waves anywhere in the world, if they fuck up, they pay the price. That's the way it should be. And since this disaster happened on American soil I think the Americans had a fair point in saying BP fucked up. Regardless of their Union Jack.

I mean, if a Dutch company messes up abroad (yeah I'm talking to you, Shell, you fat bastards), such as in Nigeria, they should be held accountable for every last bit of human suffering.

  • @shittyfagg (part 2) and that's what rubs me up the wrong way. That these people give their opinions and call BP out on it, but don't even realise that a bit of oil on their beach or the loss of a bunch of tourists is nothing compared to what is happening halfway around the world. I also don't like the way that the US government diverted attention away from the American companies involved and placed blame on BP stressing it was British calling it British petroleum when its no longer called that

  • People said Obama wasn't furious about the spill. They said he wasn't doing enough. And now that he is holding people accountable, Republicans are blaming him -- for holding people accountable. And if this 'shake-down' hadn't happened, you better believe the Republicans would have said that Obama is 'too passive' or 'doesn't care' or better yet, 'doesn't have any balls'.

  • Haha so fucking stupid what a SUPRISE hes a Republican and a Texas whore, oh god i hate what America is in most cases.

    The American Dream eyy haha

  • Barton was later chastised severely by fellow Republicans and made to apologize for his apology, or lose his seat on the energy commision.

  • USA started a war with iraq for a bit of oil...killing loads of people. A few fish dying isnt so bad!

  • @smbaillie90 You are an IDIOT!!! every think alive died there not just few fishes!!

  • if i called you into my office, i would fellatio you since you are from oil company ~any republican other than ron paul

  • Now that we've discovered--shock!--that the "worst environmental disaster in the history of the world" really wasn't a big deal at all, Cenk just comes off looking stupid. Vastly economic damage will be caused by Obama's knee-jerk drilling moratorium than the spill. Ironic.

  • @twk373 Are you on crack?

  • "bp does the worst enviromental disaster in history" what a srange way of putting it. Kangaroo court anyone? lol Fucking dumb Americans

  • @DunxMeister it's the worst environmental disaster in the history of the US

  • @hellojulie so what. US companies have had accidents abroad. Note ACCIDENT

  • My respect for this webcast just went up by 1000x. Awesome.

  • What a total bastard.

  • What !!? He Apologised!!!? Hasnt He seen Biljons and Biljons of fish dieying in sout America and Around the Bp Spraying......Wake up for GOD sake's What is wrong with you people....WHY YOU DONT WAKE UP!!!!!??

  • We should have stuck that little mouse faced bastard at the gulf with a rake.

Maybe he won't feel as ashamed then.

  • @Blavat666 You are aware BP isn't even majority run or owned by British? Guess who it is by?

Say it with me, U-S-A, U-S-A.

  • @MakoSharkX No it isn't. 40% British, 39% American.

Granted, I despise how the American media has handled the situation: constantly referring to BP as 'British Petroleum'. BP is officially a multinational corporation, and before the incident was no longer referred to as 'British Petroleum' but simply as 'BP'. It is slanderous to refer to BP as British Petroleum, particularly to many of us innocent Brits.

  • @Veneratio10 It's headquarters are located in the UK and everyone knows BP stands for British Petroleum if they wanted it different they should have modified the acronym.

  • Politicians running to bend over for BP. BP stands for "Bend Please". They sure don't have to say please to the whores on Capitol Hill. "I'm just a shill, up on Capitol Hill" is the song the congress is singing.

  • This Turk idiot always takes 5 minutes to set up a clip. Hey Turk, you're just as annoying as the assholes you make fun of!

  • America owned by Beck and BP

  • @Blavat666 BP is majority US-owned. And the comapnies actaully doing the work on that righ were American - Halliburton, I think?

  • interesting video :]

  • It always amazes me how small these bribes actually are compared to the corporate profits they make. The oil industry just needs to pay him $100,000 a year to protect their interests. Imagine if this idiot alone had been successful in blocking the $20 billion fund. The return on investment for them would be 20,000,000%

  • @TheChicahuaAchcauhtl Hey. There's a real newsflash. Now tell us how the Earth is not flat.

  • @TheChicahuaAchcauhtl You're absolutely right about that.

  • @TheChicahuaAchcauhtl No, I mean the ideology of American conservative politics (i.e. self-righteous, self-serving, hypocrisy, greed, bigotry) is evil, at best. The Christian right picks and chooses the Christian ethics to follow that serve them best (they NEVER follow the Golden Rule). Have I made myself clear?

  • As far as my short-sight may be, what i am seeing is that Cenk really is the future of real journalism in this country. Sadly, he might be fighting a losing battle...or even a battle that's already been won. But it is nice to trust a broadcaster for once. NEVER SELL US OUT CENK!!!

  • Republicans hate it when Obama does something positive and good. They have to come up with SOMETHING to try make him look bad and in the process they look like idiots. Then yesterday they blocked extending unemployment compensation. This will result in a few more congressional seats that will stay with the Democrats. The way the Repblicans are going, the Democrats will GAIN seats in November.

  • I am not really a fan of obama but I think he did the right thing BP would have just hired a hundred lawyers to make sure they would pay as little as possible and as late as possible (if at all). This fucking retard would have realized that if he weren't so busy sucking herpes infested dick. I hope he chokes to death on their jizz and his kids blow their brains out

  • Republicans = Evil

  • Snake!

  • @TheOBAMATRON - Good and you ?

  • Burton shoulds like a lawyer

  • @TheOBAMATRON-Well Alice, maybe it is the fault of your latte.

  • @MarcusCardiff

No you communists assume that we get our information the same way you do. Form political talk shows. Oh, and you listen to Obama speeches and believe them too.

Oh, I forgot, you communists prefer to be called "progressives" or "liberals". If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.................

Go to CPUSA and find me ONE thing that you disagree with.

  • @MarcusCardiff

You have no idea where I get my information. In fact, it comes from many sources. I wish you communists would stop being so obsessed with Fox News but as long as they keep exposing your true nature, you'll keep trying to discredit them.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel

Well MrRockythesquirrel, there's your problem. You're talking about a "party". Myself, I don't have a party. I'm just talking about what's best for my country.

When the government controls private industry, that's by definition, communism.

  • Can you ASSHOLES just talk about this video. U ppl need to get a FUCKING life and stop giving BS taking points to each other.

The GOP want to BAILOUT bp, and Obama just doing it to look good.

  • bp executives must do jail time for the fraud and obstruction of justice which they are alleged to have commit, this is the the best deterrent to keep rigs safe and to avoid such awful disasters and destruction of American resources.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel Yeah. SWEDEN has a VERY LOW corporate tax rate. They also allow their car companies to fail without a BAILOUT. Seriously, you liberal child, I have no time for you. Educate yourself on things before you speak about them in some authoritative manner. Also, use spell check. It's "Scandinavia."

  • @MrRockythesquirrel yeah that's called socialism. it's already been tried many times and failed every time. like i said: go live in cuba, venezuela, or north korea. that's where they preach that kind of nonsense.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel you are a moronic infant who doesn't understand economic incentives. If you hate corporations, go live in Cuba or Venezuela or Iran or North Korea. And stop using the computer which was made by a corporation.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel you're a fucking moron that doesn't understand how the world works. 1. take an economics class you fucking indigent welfare recipient. 2. slit your fucking throat and die so i don't have to subsidize your useless non-contributing life.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel

Go play with your computer games. I don't have time for some goofy little Obammunist.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel

Oh, so you're a bigot. That's nothing new. All you leftists are bigots and classists.

BP funded a good portion of Obama's campaign. Bet you didn't know that.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel

I apologise, your right. it is an insult to cockroaches.

  • One thing for sure; we can't have someone calling what Obama is doing by it's accurate name. We have to be politically correct which is almost always factually incorrect.

Now mean ol' Congressman Barton, you quit hurting little Barry's feelings and help him spread his lies!!!!

  • I don't see anybody complaining about an administration who would use a disaster like this to support his gigantic freedom robbing "cap & trade" bill. Of course, they're calling it the "The American Power Act" because we're all to stupid to know it's the same damn bill.

  • @qpwillie Sorta how the Bushies used 9/11 as a way to pass that gigantic freedom robbing PATRIOT act?

  • @mikey3k

ROTFL!!!!!! There goes that leftists Tourette's again. You say "Obama" and they have to blurt out "BUSH!!!". I don't blame them. It's involuntary.

Another variety of it is when they shout "RACIST!!!!".

  • @qpwillie There goes that rightiest Tourette's again. They blamed Carter for many years and they even had the balls to blame Clinton during the Bush years. Now they blame Obama for everything, hypocrites.

  • @mikey3k

Hmm, I don't remember mentioning Carter or Clinton. Do you mind showing me the post where I did that? I'd appreciate it.

  • realy? seriously?..........get the rope, it's hangi'n time.

  • GET RID OF THE JONES ACT, SHUT DOWN ALL DEEPWATER OIL DRILLING, SHUT DOWN THE DEADLY BP ATLANTIS RIG, VACCUM THE OIL UP, TAKE CHARGE OF THE LEAK INSTEAD OF BP TAKING CHARGE, NATIONALIZE BP, GOLDMAN & HALIBURTON, MAKE SURE ALL OF BP'S MONEY GOES TO CLEAN UP, STOPPING THE LEAK & PAYING AMERICANS, PUT US TROOPS & NAVY IN GULF OF MEXICO, USE BP OR PENTAGON OR ANY TECHNOLOGY WE CAN FIND, TO STOP THE LEAK & CLEAN UP THE OIL, SHUT DOWN CRIMINAL BP, HALLIBURTON, GOLDMAN SACHS & TRANSOCEAN & JAIL THEM.

  • Goldman Sachs took a "big short" position on the Gulf when Haliburton completed cementing of oil well & pipe

    pesn. com/2010/05/05/9501645_ No_joke--Goldman_Sachs_ shorted_TransOcean

Haliburton completed final cementing of oil well & pipe just 20 hours before blowout

DESTROYED this World TO PROFIT & RAISE OIL PRICES

  • Haliburton bought a oil spill clean up company (Boots & Coots Oil Spill Inc) just 1 week prior to the oil spill. What a friggin coincidence!!! Haliburton initially was blamed for the oil spill, then BP stepped in, and took ALL the blame. Now, Haliburton's involvement is a faint memory. This is such a planned inside job

    dailyfinance. com/story/investing/halliburton-snaps-up-boots-and-coots/19435689

    Goldman Sachs WTF..

  • sooo.... he's paid to apologize? lol ok.

Now seriously though, who just took control of $20B of liability from the court and gave it to an 'independent' committee he appoints?

  • @TheOBAMATRON - Your latte is waiting. Now that we know your favorite drink it is clear as to why your thinking is not.

  • John Dingell, a democrat, received the largest BP contribution! Anyone who believes this is a single political party issue is simply blind of the facts!

Our government is corrupt to the core no matter what party affiliation!! Special interest call the shots in D.C..

    WAKE-UP SHEEPLE

    cnbc. com/id/37765419/

  • @halcyon0830- Such companies often contribute to members of both parties. So what exactly is the point you were attempting to make while failing miserably ?

  • USA has NO Capitalism, USA HAS Corporatism/Fascism.

USA has NO Democracy, USA HAS Plutocracy.

USA has NO Constitution, USA HAS Patriot Act, Drones, Blackwater, False Flag Attacks & Lies.

USA has NO Politicians/Reps, USA ONLY HAS Neocon Zionist Corporate Lobbyists working ONLY for Corporations, Fed Reserve, "Business Roundtable" & AIPAC/PNAC/CFR

USA has NO Political Parties, USA ONLY HAS NEOCONS & AIPAC IN DC AND NEOCONS, ZIONISTS & CEO's IN POWER.

Biggest LIE EVER: "USA is Land of the Free"

  • @halcyon0830 -Some of what you say is correct but at the same time you are a very confused individual. The real problem with this country are small minded voters who buy into right wing rhetoric and support the very party who is picking there pocket. Capitalism has its limits.Problems arise when Wall Street profits take priority over every thing else and individuals are left holding the bag. Voter ignorance get us everytime.

  • Oil companies paid Oil-Whore Barton more than 2 MILLION dollars, and now they are getting their monies worth.

    cnbc. com/id/37765419

  • Yeah Barton is a tool. But this is also just a load of liberal spin. Don't lump in all Republicans together. Barton REPEATEDLY says he is not representing the Republican party, and is speaking individually. Secondly, stop being so anti-corporation. Guess what. Corporations create jobs and if you haven't noticed, we have massive unemployment. No government doesn't create real jobs. They create fake jobs made by taxing productive people. Seriously, get some perspective.

  • @sugarkang

    You nailed it, sugarkang!

  • @landsell Every account has a channel, doesn't mean you have to make it public though. I made mine private because of spam comments on my channel.

  • its richt that Congressman Apologizes to BP CEO Tony Hayward

  • I am sorry daddy!!!

  • Fuck Joe Barton, THE PETROLEUM WHORE!!!!!!

  • @landsell WTF does my channel have to do with anything at all? It doesn't deflect from the fact that your comment was full of hyperbole with zero facts backing up your statement.

  • Tony Hayward's favorite cologne is Arrogance. Lousiana is America's Haite. Many Louisianains are Haitian immigrant descendants.

  • God Damn Old Whites for Texas !!! He shouldn't have said tht......

Get rid of all these OLD fellas...>They can't make decisions now coz they have ravaged w/ dementia !

  • I am ashamed that we have such thoughtless people representing the american public. Several people have lost the ability to support their families, several animals are dieing on our coast, and our ocean is being polluted more and more each day this continues. I am disgusted that there has not been more done to the company responsible for this spill. I sure as hell feel no empathy for a corporation that doesn't give a shit about us.

  • @MrYoober Why do u say tht ? Coz Texas doens't care right now tht's why ? Well it's run by some republican fools !!!

  • From Texan: Your not getting reelecting you Asshole

  • this asshole is out racing his yacht. lol....he just said FUCK AMERICA!!! They should beat his ass! i wish one of those senators would have punched him in his fuckin nose.

  • Vote this asshole out of office!

  • This old school Republican is a DICK! The ocean is a living thing, moron!

  • This is some sad shit. Flat-out.

  • Congress gave them approval to deep drill,Congress your just as guilty. They're all

    criminal.

  • In fairness he did say they would be libel and not the tax payer. I dont like this video.

  • @martinaoe2 -- I'm agee with you about Burton saying they would be "libel" - and they should be & so should he for running down America when BP is who should be taking the blame.

  • BP shouldn't give up a cent until United Chemical pay for Bohpal, and Shell clean up the Niger delta.

For once the oil is invading America!

  • @alxdnld ........yea, no......i agree that those other cocksuckers should pay for their mess,,.,.but yea sorry,..,i dont want to hold my breath till they do so,.

fukn kudos to obama for setting up that fund

  • @alxdnld That's like saying no criminal should be punished until every evil man in the world atones for his sins. Preventing present punishment because you felt past punishment weren't enough never solves anything set a example and lead by that example.

  • He is licking his masters feet .

    Good doggy !!!

  • Fuck him.

  • I agree with you that total asshole Barton should be booted out of office, but the oil companies will find ways to funnel into his campaign chest so many millions that I don't know that he can be.

  • @Rata4You, i have seen no indication that BP acted grossly worse then every other oil company in the gulf, yes they have to pay and you have completely missed the point, and im an Obama supporter youv missed my point which was that it is used as a Scapegoat to detract from anti-obama sentiment, i said BP should pay but taking money from pensioners when BP can pay anyway is silly, and you really did discount my entire point and argued on a point i agreed with

  • well you should not put all of the blame on BP because the spill was on federal government property and the federal government does allow offshore drilling.

  • its largely American company, obama is using them as a scapegoat and frankly the american company who made the stopper should also be looked at, the republican party needs to stop crying about regulation and BP need to pay the costs, however this is a scapegoat by Obama and a political shakedown in terms of taking money from British pensioners by cancling dividends. BP should pay whats liable and compensation but not be a scapegoat feeding off anti-European and British sentiment

  • "I'm sorry, 'BP', not British Petroleum"...

    WTF?!

  • HOW TF did this potato head ever get past puberty?

  • Who in his stupid mind apoligize to BP ,this guy gave ammo to Dems what an idiot or truly said what his heart & pockets allied with WoW who is the victim ? a corporation making Billions out of us in the pump they will get the monet back from our pockets

  • Trouble is that large corporations now own government, they buy politicians and own the people who are meant to keep industry in check. That's why we see things like deadly meds passed for public use and why companies can flout the law with relative impunity.

The best way is to hold the CEO and all those involved criminally responsible, take all their personal wealth and lock them up for 20yrs & watch them change their ways.

  • I would like to apologize too. I would like to apologize to the American people that we have windbags like Joe Barton in office.

  • Fuck that fool

  • This guy is worser than a street whore............

  • Such a shame!!!

    And one more thing...

I am not an American, and I don't know about you guys, but when I see this ad here in the corner that goes like "BP Spill. Blame Obama? Vote Here Now!", I get Really Angry. How stupid can a person be to even think about blaming Obama. Seriously, he is as much guilty as I am, or a sheep somewhere in the Swiss mountains.

And BP! If you can't build a decent rig, why don't you drill somewhere near your own coast!

  • @Tapewormlatvia The Rig was ordered, owned and operated by Tranceocean. Yes, an American company that has been kept out of the Media....

  • @Tapewormlatvia - Sadly there are all too many small minded voters who buy into this crap. The Rush Limbaughs and Glenn Becks prey on the small minded who will repeat anything these right wingers say. It is no wonder this country is circling the drain.

  • @Tapewormlatvia

It's stupid scapegoating, and these stupid ads are a dime a dozen (After inflation).

    Hate Obamacare? Vote here now!

    Impeach Obama? Vote here now!

Is Obama a Nazi/Communist/Socialist/Jew? Vote here now!

Is Obama the worst president ever? Vote here now!

A few weeks later, I will guarantee you there will be a new one. If/when the oil spill is over and done with, the assholes that make this shit will think of another thing to blame on Obama.

  • @Tapewormlatvia

I can't "thumb up" this comment enough. You're absolutely right on all counts.

  • Me too. I don't want to live in a country where terrorist or dictators are subject to political pressure from our government. I apologize Saddamm, Pol Pot, Hitler, Edi Amein, 911 'terrorist, Darth Vader, Mussolini, Kim Jong-il, Omar al-Bashir, Than Shwe, Robert Mugabe, and anbody else willing to do atrosities to his fellow man. I apologize.

  • BP oil spill? 21-inch pipe? All usurpers will be hanged for obstruction of will.

  • as a Texan, I cannot begin to describe the kind of frustration I feel, not just about Joe Barton but about the people here who continue to elect people like him

  • @Desmonid So, terrorist shoud not have any rights but a billionaire transnational corporation who cause a huge damage to the entire world shouldnt get any (small imo) reprimend?

  • @jonismack1 that's not what I said at all

  • @InformingChristians one thing is human rights (judical systems are based on respec and promotion of human rights, at least occidental ones) and a completely diferent one the rights of a company, (both of whom, by the way, have obligations), of course it seems you would like to dregrade to the level of the talibans in order to ignore any human rights in order to get the litle pleasure of torturing them.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @jonismack1 -- It is real people who work for BP. Their jobs and livelihoods are at state here, as well. If BP goes under, it could be the beginning of a huge double-dip recession.

We have a constitution, we have good laws that need to be adhered to, or tyranny will reign.

Until there is a trial, we will not really know the truth of what happened with the oil spill. And even once the truth comes out, Obama bears responsibility for dragging his feet.

We must not let fear rule our judgment.

  • You know the US is really a monarchy?

  • Ask lucifer to apoligize four spitting shawman lines.

Hee Haw, now where's the Hay?

  • Wow, would i not like to stuff some shame down his throat.

  • Send that congressman to clean up the Gulf, only by doing that he will proved that he is not a COMPLETE RETARD

  • He might as well got on his knees and sucked Tony's cock right there.

  • @MrRockythesquirrel

    Amen to that!

  • @MrYoober Yep, I know if the tables were turned (you are correct), The US would be cursed horribly for it. However, for the most part, Americans would be equally mad at any criminal corp who destroyed waters abroad, such as BP has here.

  • @WolfArden44

a while back a US corp killed thousands and hurt tenss of thousands of indians when they fucked up, the US got the leaders of the company out of there and none of them paid for their crimes(as far as i know), look up Bhopal disaster.

  • We gonna bail out the oil companies now?

  • I'm surprised Obama even put a cap on the bill...

How can you even begin to put a price tag on a ecological disaster of this magnitude? I would have told the CEO of BP that the price will be open ended pending on the time and effort it will take to rebuild the Gulf coast to it's original state (if that is at all possible).

  • @beatnix99 Its not a cap, its a floor. Meaning, a minimum of 20 billion.

  • I have heard that even though BP owns the rig...

It was an American Company drilling with the rig, with American workers.

  • Wow. The Young Turks are very biased. The point the congressman was making was fair. BP should be punished through the courts and not the government. I very much doubt that an American oil producer would be subjected to the same government treatment.

However, I do feel sorry for the people who those affected by this disaster.

  • @dazzagazza6969 The government should step in when something drastic happens. When Katrina, the previous ecological disaster happens, the government steps in. If we were to go through the normal route, I am assuming the states should have deal with that matter by itself. Sometimes normal routes take way too long to be completed and the damage just get worse and people just get away easier.

  • @yes4me I get what your saying but you forget that Hurricane Katrina was a natural disaster that killed 1,500 people making thousands homeless. People effect could not start a lawsuit against Hurricane Katrina as its just 'wind' and has no money.

Unfortunately, the biased right-wing propaganda machines such as Fox News are unfairly drawing comparisons, which actually is quite sick.

  • @dazzagazza6969 The average person isn't intelligent enough to understand this point so don't go expecting TYT to either, because they are painfully average. We live in a willfully ignorant world.

  • @XxRaWr24xX As a non-American (New Zealander) we get a different view from our media and see that its not Americans who are unintelligent but they are subjected to extreme left or right wing propaganda through the mainstream media. If Americans were given unbiased news reporting I'm sure they could understand when they are being manipulated.

  • @dazzagazza6969 Thank you for that comment. I see it this way as well It would please me to illustrate that I agree with you, through the following creative analogy ( metaphor). I liken tohow a mushroom farmer grows their crop. The politicians and mainstream media keep us in the dark, like the mushroom.( they don't tell us everything) and like the mushroom they feed us shit ( main media gives us biased information). Yes they would like to make us confused and eat shit.

  • @dazzagazza6969 I doubt that you feel sorry for the people on the gulf at all because he surely doesn't feel sorry for them at all . He feels more sorry for BP, and your dumb ass feels That he got expose as a crook just like the rest of your party. For him it's okay if the people in the gulf won't see a dime until 20 years later . After they've lost everything else ,and some of them have died .

  • @Dblock7185 'rest of your party'??? Oh, dear another polarized American.

  • @dazzagazza6969 I am pretty sure that if he could of had it his way . I am pretty that he would be paying BP to clean up their own mess with tax payers money.

  • Was there some foot tapping done in the bathroom that day???

    OHHHHHHHHH YEAAAA!!!! =)

  • it seems like other republicans are coming out strongly against this guy. i suppose it makes sense when you frame it as, they have to be subtle about it, and this guy threw subtlety out the window, so he must be dealt with. but my first reaction was simply, "wow, theyre agreeing with obama on something, how bizarre."

even though i know by now that obama is just as much in bed with the corporations as they are, they usually still at least pretend to oppose him... on everything.

  • then the senator proceeded to felate the CEO of BP

  • I think there are also some double standards here-its ok for american companies to cause financial mess outside of their shores and abuse workers in asia but what a surprise-no government enquiry. You guys did the same with Toyota...seems you dont like foreign competition in what is a free market/laissez faire society. Also-its BP NOT British Petroleum-this only adds to anti Brit sentiment which is a shame coz we have tremendous respect for you guys

  • hes apologizing because this whole mess is the biggest over reaction in history. Before anyone bites my head off- yes, this is worst oil spill in history but just think who benefits from BP's investments in the Gulf, not just BP but the people of misissipi and the surrounding states and ultimately the rest of american people through the tax revenues and contracts.

  • @cam1126 So you are saying that BP is being treated totally unfairly.

  • now the American's really hate the British

  • Finally an American politician that understands that the company is BP not British Petroleum. They changed the name years ago. Almost equal amounts of BP stock are owned in America compared to Britain. And the company responsible for the cut off valve that would stop this kind of situation happening was Haliburton, an AMERICAN company.

  • @01eximius

Well, what you expect? BP have more deep pocket then Haliburton. Beside, like what you said, Haliburton is AMERICAN company.

  • Gee, I wonder if he's being paid by the oil industry or not(!)

  • Barton is no different than Michelle Bachman and the rest of these clowns. Honestly why do the democrats even bother saying anything? Just let the idiotic republicans open their mouths and they'd win every election. They could give a fuck less about the people. To them BP is the victim.

I swear the most corrupt democrat has nothing on the typical republican. It's disgusting.

  • What ever happened to pelting politicians with rotton fruit? seems like a good place to begin agian.

  • I Love the republican party. They are truthfully, a bunch of brainwashed, selfish, right wing nuts, which care about their piggy bank, rather than other peoples lives. I love the republican response > This is without a doubt Obama's fault. Not only is he the anti Christ... he also should be able to prophesies these events like John McCain. If Obama stood up in the Gulf and raised the Oil out like magic, the Republican party would attack him for taking jobs away! Moronic idiots.

  • ppl keep caling it the bigest spill in us history. granted, it's huge, but what about the lakeview gusher?
