voice wise, LaToya London has it all (vocals, range) except she really has no fighting spirit of winning or she really has boring personality or maybe she's just down to earth.

Fantasia was soulfully great but quite exaggerated sometimes. Jennifer was really voted out because she sings like Broadway although she has very big voice.

look at this totally robbed contestant ever in AI history. Season's 3 Lisa Leuschner. I believe she would have won that season.

it doesn't matter wether they win or not. The title of American Idol is not all you need to become successful...it's the publicity you get from the show. You get more buzz if you're excellent and don't win...JHud, Tamyra Gray, Melinda Doolittle. A true champion can bounce back and take the spotlight. JHud outshines Fantasia, and Melinda is by far a better vocalist than Jordin. America did get it wrong though based on the fact that it is a SINGING COMPETITION!!!!

Oh come on! Tamyra and Jennifer were excellent (though Tamyra a little too Whitney-esque). The rest you've listed were forgettable, with the possible exception of Frenchie Davis who didn't really get a chance as she wasn't put up for a vote due to the controversy. As much as I loved Kimberly Locke during her season, the material she released post-Idol proved her mediocrity. America may be home to many racists, but I'm not sure that's reflected in Idol winners or success on the show.

You really don't get it do you? It's a voting show not a true talent show. Being a finalist doesn't necessarily mean you had the better voice. Alot of times it's about what people see as being marketable not necessarily the best talent. I don't even remember Diana that much but I knew she could sing pretty good but still needed vocal maturity. After all she was 16 and hadn't quite learned how to use her voice to it's potential.

AI is clearly a popularity contest. There is no way you can say Jasmine or Diana can touch The three "Divas" come on. OR that Tamyra should not have been a finalist on season one. unfortunatly, they couldnt all win. But they all still did. One is on Broadway, one actually one the show and went platnum, and the other just dropped her CD AND won an ocsar, golden globe, and countless other awards with her film Debut. So AI was Biased but America clearly spoke for these three talented women.

Totally, totally agree with what u said. In my opinion, season 7 is the most talented season of AI followed by season 3. Season 3 was dominated by soul singers and these 3 divas are the best in that season's competition. The finale will definitely be much more interesting had it be for Fantasia vs LaToya.
