i see that the history states(under performance tab in preferences window) is at 20. mine is maxed out so i can easily go back a previous history morethan 20. try it and i hope it helps..

@RustanLucena The higher that value is set at, the more RAM (and, *gulp*, virtual memory!) Photoshop requires to function.

I've got mine at 30, but I also have 8gb RAM.

I have been fighting with this for hours today, but 8 or so days. i set my scratch disk to my D\ drive, and it has been erroring, saying it dodnt have permission, and would shut down. i couldnt get the permissions to work either, but the ctrl shift space worked perfect!
