The Umpire must have not being paying full attention. I think De Villiers gesture that the ball hit his leg may have influenced the decision. Not every cricketer walks like Gilchrist or Tendulkar, but these thing tend to even themselves out on way or another. He is a very good umpire though and we humans all make mistakes.

The umpire gave the decision in favor of De Villiers...don't see why he should walk...When batsmen are given out wrongly they never complain...And we never see the fielding team calling the batsman back after watching the replays and realising that the batsman got a bad one...The umpires are there to make fair decisions for both the sides and human error will always be there...So quit whining and enjoy the game...At the end of the day it's just a game.
