In my book they are one of the reasons I wanted to play on stage, their band exists in the 'energy' realm as opposed to say 10cc/Toto that live in the 'note perfect' realm.
Is that a Gibson ES-33something I spy on the guy up front?
They have a very nice twelve bar rhythm going for them and I love the break and solo from the keyboardist =)
But it sounds like the singer was straining over the crowd...

LOL@ straining, yeah he has always sounded like that - it's his trademark voice.
The Femmes are still recording, they just released their new album with a version of "Crazy". He strains through that one too lolololol.

oh BTW it was s Stratocaster guitar...the head stock is the give away and the scratch plate.

I heard of that band years ago. Didnt know they were still around.
Growing weed and surfing all day got boring. I left and got a job at channel nine. I was homeless when I got a job there LOL
