  • Exactly! Breed DOES NOT dictate behavior in a dog. The way a dog is trained, socialized, raised, fed and cared for is how! Most of the dogs that "attack" do so because the owner had neglected some aspect of the dog, wheter it be proper socialization, training, etc. Yes, each breed varies slightly in physical and mental needs. However, as you said, all dogs are basically the same! Besides, the media lies and doesn't cover the entire story on why the dog attacked. There is ALWAYS a reason.

  • @GoddesssOfDarknesss It's sad that some people still can not see past the coat. :(

  • @Shushit55 Yeah. Its depressing. :/

  • @GoddesssOfDarknesss On a good note the more we stand together and show that dogs are dogs and that good ownership produces good dogs, life can only get better.

  • @Shushit55 So true! And as more and more people witness how the "vicious" dog breeds aren't any different than any other breed via people like us "showing off" how well trained, loyal and lovable they are, they should finally open their eyes and smell the dog biscuts.

[As for people like us, liver as treats! Go raw!] XD

  • @GoddesssOfDarknesss LOL yes in deed.

  • @MarissaH414 Have you also noticed how in the media all you ever see is the happy Golden Retriever? It fetches the ball, it never bites your kids, so for and so on. But whenever they show a APBT, a Rottweiler, Doberman Pincher it's always with the headline, "DOG ATTACK". The media has really fooled the uneducated into believing that some breeds are born perfect. I'm here as a professional saying, "That's not the truth!" The first dog to ever attack me was a Golden Retriever.
