@BigHarryPecker. No the owners of pharamcies that stock quack medicine are pricks. Pharmacies in Oz have a monolopy on supplying medications. And they claim that they need this because supermarket pharmacies could not be trusted with our health. Oh the irony.
I think you've done nothing but humiliate yourself by posting this video. The pharmacist was completely straight forward and honest. Why don't you attack the company who produced the product for misleading the public instead. One word; JERK!
@defraim84 Because the pharmacist is smart enough to know that the product does not work. He admitted as much. If he has integrity he should tell the owner of the pharmacy to not stock such crap. Yes he was straight forward. My gripe is against the pharmacy not the pharmacist. But the professionals that work as pharmacists should kick back against pseudo-medical devices and products. Which is of course easy for me to say when my job is not on the line over it.
it seems to me like this guy is just looking for a fight. i am a pharmacy tech and most pharmacies sell a lot of "as seen on tv" stuff to appease customers and offer convenience. there is no medicine in this item and so the pharmacist's code of conduct is not violated because this item will not hurt anyone one way or another. the point of being a pharmacist is to ensure health and make sure people are safe. why do people love starting fights over nothing and hearing themselves talk?!
@bdherring1 Pharmacy code of conduct says that a pharmacist can not mislead the public or prey on their lack of knowlege. Selling the hotband does both of these.
BTW - this phamacy does not sell this anymore - I win. :-)
Seeing this stuff in pharmacies has always made me angry, good to see someone is confrontong some pharmacists about it. I might make it a point to do similar next time i am in a pharmacy

Yes, pharmacies should be taken to task for stocking this pseudo-science rubbish - together with the homeopathy garbage they have behind the counter.
