@TheBullitt1970 The x-pipe is supposed to have more rasp to it with the flows, and the h-pipe has more of a burbly sound. But when running at WOT at higher rpms, the x-pipe seemed "smoother". The h-pipe is actually a little louder, with the x-pipe being a little quieter and smoother at times. Just my experience.
@TheBullitt1970 I would have preferred an h-pipe, but really did get used to the x-pipe. Both will sound mean which ever you go with. I miss the sound of my 4.6L, but am enjoying my 5.4L now in the GT500.
If u want to make it deeper u should go wit flow 50's I'm running those on my bullitt wit an o/r x-pipe. Very deep sound because they r truck mufflers.
Well i hate to break it to you but an X will out flow an H anyday...The H will sound better at idle but the X gievs is a smoother transaction after it gets going,from what i hear the H pipe stops working after 1500 rpms and makes it like straight pipes basically bi-passing the H were as an X still flows thru the rpm band...Just what i was told I have an Off road H now im getting rid of it to buy an X....lol...
I've heard the x is good for maybe 2-5HP over an h-pipe...but from personal experience, the x is very raspy until you get over 3000rpms then it smoothes out. I'm only going to switch if I get a good deal on one.
I went from xpipe with cats with 3 chamber flows to the stock h-pipe. I liked the tone with the x-pipe much much more, so I went back to the X-pipe now.
I want a more deep rumble...I've just had a lot of people that have told me that the h-pipe is a completely different sound, being deeper and smoother.
Is there much difference in power and sound between an X or an H?

@jbhonda714 It's a UPR off-road x-pipe (no cats)

I had a BBK o/r x on my car for about 2 days. HATED it. Now i run an o/r h and i love the sound of it MUCH better. Its all personal preference

If you want the sound of an o/r h-pipe, go with an o/r prochamber. You get the sound of an o/r h-pipe but the performance of an o/r x-pipe.
