How do I store cabbage and cut grass on their sheds/crate?

I already bought Walamy and the others but I can't seem to make them put it in.

@ReddjToon as long as I know, you can't store cut grass unless you have a store house. And the cabbage crate I can't use it too, so I don't know how it works :( [I've played just a little]

You store their seeds, and Walamy pick up these seeds to put them near their signs
