Strangely I have never thought of setting up beside the lights and speakers i'm always in front..but will definitely try on my next gig....cheers for the inspiration.
I've been using Yorkville speakers for over 15 years in my DJ service and not a single failure. Amazing speakers that are built to last and sound fantastic. Great looking setup!
Nice and clean set up. I have Yorkville too so the quality is awesome. Just one thing I can't figure out: Where did you put your projector? I can't find it. Are you rear projecting the image?
VERY good use of your lighting. You made it powerful & simple. The younger guys think you have to have a billion lights going non stop and don't understand it's about making the most of what you have.
I LOVE the video action. I used video all through the 90's and into the first few years of the 00's. It's nice to see someone else does too!!
I am actually running 4 PC's on this gig. One desk top, which is running Virtual DJ to play the music, video, custom text animations and dance cam (I needed more horse power and USB ports). One laptop, loaded with a playlist and on standby in the event of a crash of the desktop. 2nd laptop running Freestyler to run the light show. 3rd laptop to create custom text animations using Bluff Titler and networked to the desktop for easy transfer so that Virtual DJ can access it for the video screen
thats got to be about the nicest, cleanest rig ive ever seen! very very nice! i like how all of the lights are used in every program that u did, no lights were left out at any time. i love it! keep it up man!
Virtual DJ. I have my camcorder's composite out going to a Plextor PX-AV100 digital video converter and that plugs in USB to my PC running Virtual DJ. In VDJ under effects, select video and then camera. To switch from music video or sonique files to the dance camera, just hit activate. Note that your Plextor should be plugged into your pc before you fire up VDJ. If not, it won't recognize that input.

Hello, nice video. I'm just wondering what you are using 2 laptops for? One as a backup perhaps?
