I'll still be interested in seeing what the Syphilis channel has done with the concept, as sometimes they can produce good stuff (Battlestar Galactica, that Dune miniseries, etc) but the trailer mostly made me cringe. Oh well, the UK series is continuing whether the US one sucks or not so it doesn't matter much!

I've just read that America's Syfy are doing a remake of "Being Human." Why, why, why? Why have America always got to do remakes of things instead of original work? bottom line: english-speakers worldwide may be speaking the same language, but accents play a large role in understanding.

@tinaUNDAcova I'm American & I think a lot, if not most, Americans are closed minded. there are a few who actually get that there is an entire world of people & Views out there, and that "The American Way" isn't the only way. personally I find British Television & Film to be much better. They have after all been doing theater for hundreds of years before America & they're more about quality shows rather than quantity like most US Series running for 24 eps, where brit shows run at 8-13 eps.

American children tend to inherit the 'superiority complex' that is going on all around them; that little idea that "WE ARE #1" at everything. So our country remakes it, the people tune in, they think its the "best show ever" & the ignorance continues.

Life on Mars in the US was gonna have Colm Meaney as Gene Hunt But ABC opted him out for Harvey Keitel instead and He came off as a Midget with a Napoleon complex. The US Being Human has its charm but its has no emotion like the original, Russell Tovey plays George as a very tragic figure, crying, Horrible Screams while transforming etc. the us one isnt as deep.
