ASH....I know that fool!! Always tripped out on his body armour and I used to see him on Hippie Hill all the time!! Hope he's doing OK, and that the City and SFPD can work out something that allows some sort of compromise OTHER THAN "shelter or jail". As long as nobody is bothering parkgoers or littering I don't see the need to get all weird about it....

Well, they are bothering parkgoers, and (surprise!) they are littering. Most of these career panhandlers would litter in NY's Central Park, at the beach, in Yosemite, etc. They are just lazy, stoner litterbugs. They are focussed on partying and freeloading, they just want to be on a hobo vacation in life. Pretty greedy peeps.
