Rokinon 8mm Fisheye Test

To answer a lot of questions:

The lens costs roughly $300. It comes in many different names (Rokinon, Bower, Samyang, etc) and varies in prices (+/-$50)

There is no zoom. This is a prime lens.

Everything is basically always in focus. Even at wide open (f/3.5) everything is in focus from about 2ft to infinity.

Everything is manual on this lens, so no shooting in auto mode.

I want this lens, but I'm somewhat of a perfectionist. How difficult is it to keep this in focus. Like if your subject comes closer or further is it noticeably out of focus because it seems like with the focal length it wouldn't be to big a deal but Im not sure

@holasenorr lens is not AF but it does interface with EOS properly...just does not autofocus...it is totally manual lens

what are you filming in? 1080 at 30 fps? or 720 at 60??

If you can choose 1080, it's propoably filmed in 1080p.

@micknamer no need to size, you just need to get this lense for a canon, and the camera was 850 new with the stock lense, and the lense was 240 i believe. hope that hepled
