@balckbettystack weed isnt addictive people like you make me sick ive beeen smoking eed for years i stop for a month guess what no withdraws haha i see youve been brainwashed
@chrissteezybezzy Weed is addictive. I have plenty of friend's on it. One even had a Psychotic breakdown because she was smoking so much.
I haven't been brainwashed.I studied drug and alcohol abuse, plus the personal things that make me personally not like to use weed. It means I wouldn't smoke it. But you can if you want. My Aunt smokes it for chronic pain.
And you can applogise for the "People like you make me sick." comment thanks.
I was an "involuntary addict" to Klonopin. Always took it as prescribed (actually, I usually took LESS than what was prescribed). It still got me. 4 months later I'm still going through withdrawals.
@hollybee43 This is all so very common.I took less medications than prescribed & I still ended up having to withdrawal. It is something I know a LOT of Dr's don't warn their pain patient's that by taking the pain meds or benzos, that the body develops a torlerance & the brain chemistry changes. So when you come off them or lower the dose, the brain automatically goes into overdrive, which causes the withdrawal symptoms.
I hope you are winning your fight. If you want to chat,I'm here to listen.
@amandaainsley Not sure if your mother was on Morphine for 12 years she did it because that it made her 'feel good'. The bitch of Morphine is that it's tolerance level gets reached so quickly, that after a few months you only really know when you are NOT on it. It's a horrid thing.. I know, this is day 3 for me after only a year, and the second time in 10 due to new surgeries. Don't know your relationship with mum, but maybe have a bit of empathy, getting off this is living hell. Peace~!
By being stubborn and cold turkeying from these drugs you're doing yourself more damage than if you'd of tapered off slowly. When your body viciously craves opiates you're in danger of permanently damaging the cadiovasular system, GI tract, and central nervous system. That's why these drug programs are put in place.
You're incorrect. Opium has three main chemicals: Morphine, Codeine and Thebaine. Morphine is found naturally in Papaver somniferum, which is the plant that is used to create opium. Heroin is a semi-synthetic OPIOID that is synthesized directly from morphine. Morphine is a natural OPIATE, and Heroin is a semi-synthetic OPIOID made from morphine. Also, the correct name for Heroin is Diamorphine. They are VERY similar, in fact, Heroin is turned into morphine when it reaches your brain.
@The3rdPlateau (Diamorphine is a brand name for medical use heroin, but that's really just semantics lol). But...heroin IS metabolised (sp) in the liver, though it's not actually converted into morphine/6-MAM until it reaches the BBB (blood brain barrier) and the 3-acetytl composition is degraded. That's the difference between the two, and why heroin provides such a unique initial rush.
@GomerSanchez i think it only provides that rush if it's injected though, because it bypasses the liver. I do believe you're right about it not being turned into morphine until it reaches the BBB after researching it a bit, but i've snorted it and frankly the rush from that is not as good as the rush from snorting say, oxy, or morphine
@The3rdPlateau This is true, it only produces that classic rush when injected. Although there is some truth to what you were saying, as the liver does metabolise(sp) it but only after it gets to the brain (2nd or 3rd "pass").
@GomerSanchez you know what i think is really interesting is that, you know how different methods of injection vary in intensity...and the more intense methods have a shorter duration of effects...injecting being the shortest (most intense) & taking orally being the longest (least intense)...and whats cool is that this corresponds directly to the number of organs they must pass through before reaching the brain (bloodstream being zero, oral being four)
@balckbettystack heh i like your sense of humor...i forgot about IM injections, but I would think it also depends on where (on the body) the injection was made...and when I said injection I meant IV injections, but I guess I should've said that...when i hear the word injection i just sort of automatically think of IV
hey i really like your videos, but don't you think that some of the people who have genuine pain will get addicted if they so happen to be one of those who enjoys opiates?
@The3rdPlateau I know of people who like myself have genuine pain who DO like,I bloody hate it,the buzz of opiates. It's a risk that sometimes needs to be taken. You can't live with constant pain,so you need a LOW dose pain med to start off with BEFORE hitting the heavy ones. The trick is not becoming addicted to them.
PS.MOST IM's are given in the fat of the stomach. It takes around 10 to 15 mins tops to work.
@balckbettystack yeah I'm definitely one of those who enjoys it...but I do think that a lot of American doctors (and perhaps others) are keen on prescribing high doses to start off because they get benefits from insurance & pharmaceutical companies. i've often said that the pharm. industry is even more corrupt than the tobacco industry is, and it's a damn shame. I'm still not sure how many organs an IM injection passes through, on the stomach or anywhere else...
@balckbettystack ...If I ever do, then perhaps we will see if what I was saying holds true or not. Anyways, I hope your situation has been going well, take care.
oh P.S. I love your accent haha, I have athing about Australian culture (i play the didgeridoo too because it produces such a fascinating sound)
@balckbettystack haha i can't hear my own accent either...and that's what it sounded like when i first started playing it, but if you mess around with it for like 30 mins to an hour you can probably get it down pretty well
@The3rdPlateau The local aboriginal people here won't allow women,in fact all tribes this is the rule,to play the didgerido as it causes infertility in their laws. But when I take off up the bush I can get my hands on ones.
@balckbettystack what is subcut? i'm currently on suboxone which is buprenorphine & naloxone, which definitely lasts the longest for me, but poppy tea is my favorite, straight from the opium poppy...which lasts about 24 hours. suboxone lasts closer to 48 hours
@The3rdPlateau fatty tissue layer in the skin. That's why it lasts the longest as it has to go through fat, tissues and into the capalaries before hitting the brain.I think because it stays in the capalaries which are tiny blood vessels is why it lasts so long.
Yes and no. Heroin reaches the brain alot faster than morphine, but when it gets there it actually turns into morphine. Because of this difference, Heroin has a much stronger high (euphoria). They are similar, but not the same.
It is the one's who do that never want to leave these drugs/meds behind them.
I like others need to take them at times for pain but get off of them ASAP because we hate what they do and make us feel.
It's been months since I have had to take ANY pain killers. Although my pain has been INTOLERABLE.I WILL NOT take them.Although all my meds are still here.
As a Nurse.I have seen 'real' pain patient's come in to have their pain controlled.Like this woman.Only to find their body once they go home and stop the meds goes into withdrawls.
This is what this woman is trying to show people.
Have you bothered to read her profile?Read about her chronic pain? And how she now controls it?
Why would she become an "addict" as you claim, when she STOPS as soon as she get's AWAY FROM HOSPITAL?An addict does NOT DO THAT!
I have been there, am there. It is not fair that people who need relief from pain go through this discrimination. More than 5 doctors have given me narcotic pain relievers of the highest strength. Unless you go to a pharmacy in a large city, where they see other sufferers on a daily basis, you will get strange looks and much scrutiny. The FDA and DEA can go to hell. They do not live in our hell. I would trade my pain and drugs for no severe pain any day!
lmao i took morphine 30 s for 6 months for my knee and you guys majke it seem soo hard to quit just smoke bud and find xzanx

Morphine is a synthetic opium. So a commercially and chemically made Heroin.
Heroin is a naturally occuring opiate from a plant.
So yes they are the same thing.

You do it to yourself because you like opiates.
No-one gets 9 habits by accident.
You ARE an addict. You just get your drug of choice from a doctor rather than dealer.
I was on 260mg/day Oxycontin for years (scripted after car accident) - I know all about pain killer ADDICTION. And I can see through you like a book.
Look at your videos - do you honestly expect me you don't have a morbid fascination about opiates?
