  • Nice piece of software but isnt it a bit lazy ? Just use SohCahToa and any Scientific Calculator !

  • Very nice Video!

    It helped a lot. Thanks.

    But I think there is a litte error in the calculation. The distance between the two dials should be 'A' and not 'C' because the dial pin is mounted perpendicular to its holder. The difference in the dials is then again 'B'.

    Your alignment using 'C' is nearly accurate, because for small angles alpha the following is true:

    B = C * sin(Alpha) = A * tan(Alpha)

    This could explain your slight error in your final check.

    Sorry for my bad english - With Kin

  • Very well done! Thank you!

  • Its good to see people using new and different methods to achieve a result. for me i use a digital angle finder to set my compound accurately when i need it. Without sounding anal, you refer to your indicators as DTI (dial test indicator), this isnt really correct, those are plunger type so they are just dial indicators, dial test indicators use a lever action. Good video though.

  • Is the calculator you have on your computer a free download or software that you have purchased?

  • @zippy308 Machinery Calculator is a set of useful tools available from the web address at the end of the video

  • @richieT737 that was not the question!
