This is indeed one of the best themes in a game I have ever heard. It makes the player feel that this is it, this is the final battle and all depends on you winning this one.
I keep thinking of how this song would sound on a piano and how difficult it would be to create.
This is another awesome example of how great video game music can be! It's such a haunting, eerie theme...in a way, it sort of reminds me of the Marx theme from Kirby Super Star. Thanks for posting this!
Jesus fuck...this is THE best Mario theme I've ever heard, let alone it being on A DAMN DS. Of course, the Bowser themes from the other games are magnificent, but this song's atmosphere is terrific, like its saying "Yeah, its your last stand. Bring everything you've got." Sometimes I wonder why other great Mario games don't have superb tracks like this, such as Super Paper Mario. Great game, not so strong audio, if you count out River Twygz and The Ultimate Show. But...goddamn....just...WOW.

It's....okay. It serves much more of an overworld theme than a final battle tune. It's not fast paced AT ALL, unlike the Dark Star Bowser from MLBIS
