What I love about Ratatat is their originality. All their songs sound different, yet, when you hear one of them that you've never heard before, you know it's theirs. Not a lot of bands can do that.

Actually, you're right 'and' wrong.

They have originality, but the reason their songs are able to be picked out of a crowd is because they're smart enough to utilize the same effects into each of their songs, with a different beat.
