That's right, he does and he always said and admited it, it's not a shame, it fits with the red hot spirit: improvisation all the time. Actually at this point in their careers all of them were OFF drugs. I read Anthony Kiedis's autobiography and he explains in detail his situation concerning drugs. Also, he mentions that after John got out of rehab and rejoined the band, he never did drugs again.
