Get your facts straight. North St. Louis has a higher crime rate than East St. Louis and they are not counted "together" in any statistics. The two cities are in different states. That is definitely not the worst neighborhood. I have lived, worked and played all over St. Louis. It does not all look like this either. There are some amazing, historic neighborhoods. We have an amazing free zoo, beautiful, historic museums (dates back to the world fair) and beautiful parks. These are just mentioning a few. That is definitely not the worst neighborhood. I have lived, worked and played all over St. Louis. It does not all look like this either. There are some amazing, historic neighborhoods. We have an amazing free zoo, beautiful, historic museums (dates back to the world fair) and beautiful parks. These are just mentioning a few. East STL is bad, yea. and some of downtown... but the outskirts is completely different side of what you see/ hear on TV, and the campus area/neighborhoods in the downtown area is amazingly pretty and rich. Every city has their good and bad parts.

one more thig, the further south you go on 55 the worse it gets. im not talking shit on any of the more southern city's for i love memphis and NOLA but stl ghettos arent even mildly comparable...

STL is bad on the North cause Im from the N but Im still breathing.lol. There are safe areas on the n.side. The s. side has a worst crime rate for the last 5 years but the landscaping is much cleaner with nicer buildings and monuments so image doesn't always been more dangerous.
