    I have tried it and not sure if i want to use again or go to pea gravel instead.

  • The system is constantly cycling so the grow beds fill and empty about every 5-10mins. You can support a 2:1 ratio grow bed volume to tank volume as long as your growbeds are cycling at random. if by fluke they cycle all at once your tank will dry but that haas never happended to me..
