Its an old old joke.....buddhist humor, since being a peace is only achieved when in harmony with everything....

Here is the original joke...

A Buddhist is walking down the street in New York, and meets a hot dog vendor, The vendor asks him: "Hey buddy what can I make ya?"

"Make me one with everything," replies the Buddhist.

This guy tried to change the joke to a Pizza....but forgot the set up line. Not so smart. The dalai lama still smiles/laughs for him, nicely.

I am sure the Dalai Lama looks back on this now and laughs, regretting that he did not understand that is was a joke, I mean, has anyone EVER tried to joke in an interview with the Dalai Lama? Are you kidding me? The Dalai Lama is a simple man, he loves to laugh, had he understood he would have laughed too. Even though it was an epic fail, the interviewer deserves some credit for at least trying to pull it off. He'd better not interview The Pope though.

I didn't get it until he repeated it and emphasised the "ONE with everything," but then I laughed because that's actually quite funny. Australians are one of the few people who would make a joke like that on live tv to the Dalai Lama, and even though it failed it was a brilliant fail and I commend the interviewer for trying to pull off a joke like that. Plus, that'll be a good story to tell the kids one day, haha.

He's asking the pizza guy to make a all-in-one pizza, but the joke is he's the Dalai Lama, so it could also mean he's asking the pizza guy to also make him SPIRITUALLY "one" with everything.
