Thank you so much for this video...50 years ago I used to listen to this song on a 78 speed record on an old victrola until the hole became so huge, the voice and song became distorted...does anyone remember 78's? No more 78's, no more victrolas, thank goodness we still have the music of this man with a voice that was given to him as a gift from above...perfect voice for neopolitan songs...an angel...thank you for giving me back some wonderful memories

I certainly remember the old 78s. I still have some, but nothing to play them on.

Our first turntable was just that: It played only 78s and we used to plug it into the back of our old valve radio (with the tuning magic eye).

Unfortunately nowaday all we have are people like Renzo Arbore who just love to murder these beautiful, old Neapolitan melodies.

Sou calabrês e cheguei na cidade de Porto alegre (RS), em dezembro de 1956, com seis anos. Gostava de cantar cançonetas napolitas como Guaglione e outras que Claudio Villa canta com sua bela voz.
