Modaco 2.3 doesn't work on a G1. There was a direct port of 2.2 and it was horrible... Some people managed to get it working better and labeled it as their own but have done so much to it, its not even Modaco anymore. =p

MLIGN does a good Modaco optimized so you should try that one too. =)

If you've already done your radio and spl (which I assume you have otherwise you wouldn't be able to run this ROM) then you don't ever have to do it again. So when you get your new card, do everything but upgrade radio and spl again. =p

For now, NO Hero's auto rotate on the home screen. Don't think they ever will.

But someone has made a hack so it doesn't force close when you open the keyboard on the home screen. Hopefully we start seeing that in all the new Hero ROM's....

Now it's running much better on 64mb Swap than it was on 96mb Swap, weird.

Still slight lag when returning to home screen but usually just a second or two no big deal.

I also noticed the Street View doesn't work on this rom like the guy below said, so it's not just his phone/rom it's everybody's.

No complaints though, loving this rom, just need street view!

Its not so much the size of your card. Its the speed (class) and the size that you make the linux-swap partition...

I think your card is a class 2 (slowest)

But it lags just like the rest of them.

It even freezes when pressing home button it shows a htc logo and then proceeds to load for 10-60 secs.

have lastest radio and spl, cyanogen 4.04 was installed prior. Install runs fine. G1 screen stays up for awhile, then goes to blank screen and then it never seems to boot? cyanogen works fine otherwise. what would cause it to hang forever, sd card prob?

I didn't say in the video but I think I said in the sidebar that there is NO bootscreen which means.... black screen when installing (or rebooting)

It will stay there for awhile but be very patient and wait 10 or 15 minutes (depending on your phone) still the homescreen pops up. =)

No, you can't mess up ANYTHING to do with your phone when partitioning... You're just making separate little spaces in your sd card. Get it?

If anything does go wrong you will only get an error and then you can just start again from the beginning of my video to try again.

hahaha well you should keep that on the down low. i think i wanna update to the 1.5.2 cause it has the boot logo screen, instead of the plain and boring black screen. any input on this?

I wouldn't do it. It's updating it to another JAC kernel which I haven't tried, but when I tried updating it to the NEWEST JAC kernel (1.5.4) back in the day, it made it slower... Which isn't good.

If you try it, let me know how it goes- but it seems like too big a trade off for a boot logo screen. =/

hay does this reboot its self cuz im currently on JACxHERoski v 2.0 and it reboots like 3-4 times a day and it pisses me off cuzi was on a call and it rebooted

trust me i updated to all version each time it came out. And nothing compares to the speed of 1.5.1. check out my vid on how to fix the boot on 1.5.1..... and btw im not a sir! =(

You should wipe, wipe ext3, wipe again, repair ext file systems, flash, reboot. =p
