Those vespa tires sounds like a good idea, Im actually kind of a speed freak, im all into standup downhill (check my vids) and recently freeboarding, all I need to be happy enough is luge, buttboarding or classic luge. Perhaps If I start with a buttbuard it would be easier since Im in Ecuador - LatinAmerica and its impossible to get my hands on a luge unless I craft one myself and that might need some extra research, if you have any alternative give me a heads up!!
Sick track!! Few questions, what do you use for your shoes soles? Tires? And what trucks?? Does Randals 180 (42º or 50º) feel good in a luge?? I've always wanted to rock some street luge, the thing is to get one somehow!!
@drakostreet Hey there. I use some Vespa scooter tire, which is easy to cut since there are no steel belts, and it has a wide contact patch to match the width of my shoes. I'm using Randal Comp 205 "Luge" trucks. Some people do ride Randal 180s on their luge, the 50º baseplate one. Stay away from 42º, these are too low for street luge, and the angle doesn't give you much turn per lean. Are you currently doing stanup? Luge is great fun man, you should get into it! Where are you from?
So sick......passed the moped...owned. Ride safe....IGSA rider #218
