Good comparison, they are quite similar.

However at this point in time I prefer Scholes over Gibson. I think Scholes' passing and view of the game is better than Gibson's at present.

Would like to see more of Gibson in the future though with some more practice he could easily become Scholes' successor.

Big shoes to fill, but atleast he's got the same lightningbolt strike as Scholes has :D

Now remember Paul Scholes did more than score goals. He really read the pace of the game and had great vision. It's obvious that Gibson has been taking lessons from Scholesy not afraid to shoot from distance, but let's not tag him as the next Paul Scholes so quickly. Under the guidance of Fergie, Scholes, and the rest of United he is sure to progress into a class midfielder.
