Theres a trick to do it, you just start highering the volume and double tap the home button and itll stay like that just sleep ur ipod to fix it

lol, that happened to me, and mines a 2g touch and not jailbroken (yet), i would just be listenind to music, then when i use the side volume buttons to turn it up it did that, just turn it all the way off and it will stop

nope, this has been done on purpose. Ipod touch 2g's have a glitch. Turn the volume all the way down with the side buttons and then hold the the button to turn it up and when its halfway, double click the home button. The good thing is that it all goes back to normal when you lock it and then unlock it.

any1 can do this hold the volume up button or down then double tap home button while still holding then you will have the same glitch. Also this is easily fixed by pushing the same button eg if i wanted stuck up hold it up to fix it push the up volume button
