  • Center Stand is for servicing the machine, and that's all.

    Flat tire, etc.

Some of you are just too 10 yrs old still. Get over the weird shit.

The previous 40 yrs, 90% of bikes had both Side & Center Stand.

  • I'm not gey but seriously I would buy one of these, more mad Max rather than mad mod. I've been away fron biking for the last ten years or so and theonly other thing to catch my eye other than other makes of Maxi Scooters, is a Harley Sportster. I like bikes full stop, if its 500cc, then it ain't no shopping trolley.

  • what is the use of having 3 wheel when you still need to touch ypur feet on the ground

  • @thedecagon more stability and you can lock the front wheels so you can have your feet up when you stop

  • Great idea for novice riders, also women like the added stability. But... I wouldn't be caught dead on one. It might effect my superior fragile ego. lol ;)

  • off road?????? BULLSHIT!!!!!!!

  • No straight man should ever be seen on one of these.

  • Small wheels = Bad.

  • Does your Ducati phallus indicate small size if you have small wheels?

  • Oh man, this is a scooter, not a bike. Please dont lean that low as the side stand is touching the ground making such noise....

  • le carter il touche la route il va se bouffer en moin de deux

  • I don't think they have had drum brakes on motorcycles since the early 1970's they do however have disc brakes now. Like the ones on the 500 in the video. I love it when 12yr olds comment on motorcycle videos they are clueless. Yes get off your bicycle and you will see things scrape on motorcycle's, I've scraped "something" on every motorcycle I've had ,and most of them do not need a 42% Lean angle to do so. And let's remember kids this is a Scooter not a Superbike!!

  • ok, to set the record straight I have one of these scoots along with a lot of other motorbikes the scraping you hear is the CenterStand, Nothing Else it doesn't hit anything else except for that at maximum lean level. I'm a little puzzled with all the people caught up with the scraping of the Centerstand, what? You guys have never scraped pegs or anything else on your motorbike before when leaning into a turn? you guys crack me up if that is your biggest concern with this SCOOTER!!!

  • @javaracer chill the fuck out smoke a joint or somethin. after reading your essay i learned that u hate 12 yr olds and thats good cz then we know ur not a child molester. second i now know that "scraping" the shit out of a motorbike is ok acc to you and that your the gayest faggot ive ever "met". so since youre only 13 you better tighten up those jaw muscles cz im 14 yrs old!!

  • sick shit lol would have been better if the drum brake didnt scrape when he leaned..=P

  • youre a dummy!!!

  • scrapin the engine cases on the floor LOL

  • i think so yes but my dad he would say no like the end gettin ure knee down LOLL

  • le carter touche le sol en virages a mon avis ya un probleme

  • Parlez-vous anglais? LOL

  • sorry was more later on :( didnt watch the whole clip

  • is it just me or is the exhustsystem touching the ground at 1:58?

  • is the standing system (or whatever it is named in english) not the muffler.

  • the only revolutionary kind of motorbike that really work and like to people..

    ITALIANS DO IT BETTER

  • is it supposed to scrape like that?!!!

  • yes, it's the new eco-friendly sliders..... DUUUUR XD

  • (sunday blast) - looks like it's scraping the shit out of the transmission casing lol.

  • apparently they scrape at 40 degrees or less.. but it's insane to be leaning over that much anyway!

  • senti come gratta....

  • poppawheelie!

  • sunday blast... those sounds make me scared

  • its the piagio motorcicle?

  • you can ride these on a full uk driving licence cant you because it is a 3 wheeled vehicle under 500KG

  • Afraid not. because the two front wheels are a certain distance apart (dont know the exact dist.) it is classed a motorcycle. If they were further apart it could be classed as a car, like harley trikes etc

  • Why does he scrappes everything when advertising for the product? If he hadn't, lots of people here would consider buying it...

  • Scrape, scrape, scrape! The fact that there is so much stuff dragging on the ground makes it obvious that this was not designed for any serious cornering prowess. Just like scraping the foot-boards of a Harley dresser!

  • My justification for purchasing the 400 MP3 soon: luggage carrying capacity of a fully dressed sport-tourer without the width or awkwardness; my K100-RT can be a pain to filter with. Living down a 3km long slippery winding gravel road scary on the heavy BMW (fun on my DRZ400e but its not a long distance bike). The approaching winter (Southern Hemisphere) with ice and snow on roads. And its simply FuN FUN fUn!

  • My question is this: would you buy the 500 if you had it available to you at a similar price? I'm faced with this decision for my wife.

  • Having test-ridden the MP3 in town the lean angles are great and Ive owned supermotos, an R6 and road raced so LOVE corners, not worrying about manhole covers is great. Not having the excessive heat around the legs that all comfortable full-fairing bikes emit will be cool when the hot summer arrives. And its simply FuN FUN fUn!

  • Tbh...I cant stand the thing. I personally think it looks frankly ridiculous, and it scrapes on the floor is you try to take a corner at a decent speed!

Please stick to two wheels, if only for the sake of aesthetics

  • I have a piaggio mp3 and it never scrapes at all, you can lean off these like mad and they fly around bends. the extra wheel means you dont have to worry about white lining or ruts in the road, point twist and go. safe fun.

  • The centerstand is what is dragging in left-hand turns. I would assume this is only at maximum lean...

  • You sure?? Looke dlike centre stand + drive train casing to me... And the exhaust during right-hand turns.

Either way it's not a great feature. Still look slike it can lean further than the Honda DN-01 though!

  • This is bad!

Draging the engine and eqaust in the bends?? How safe is that? Extra stability??

  • wow so it can go offroad aswell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does it come with the tall wind screen found on the MP3 400?

  • people should all start to use these

  • i freaking love it, all except that corner scrapping, makes my skin crawl, all in all, very cool

  • Looks like something scraping along the floor when he goes round the corner

  • I love it!!..Stability, Safety, Flexability. I hate the limitations on a two wheeler!..Thanks for the demonstration..I want one!!

  • Brilliant Video MCN. On the other side of the Pond, ours is the same, but branded Piaggio MP3 500. Yada Yada Yada to all the negative chatter. The Italiana had the stones to make this innovative concept bike a reality and all you can say about is "scraping"?

  • He's gone!

  • Ok so he actually scraping the centre stand not the muffler of pegs! If you take a look at one of these beasts it is very easy to understand how you can do this!

  • 2:40

  • @maxgt33 centre stand?? dude this thing dont need a centre stand! xD three wheelers do stand on their own

  • I don't think Gilera took the idea of leaning into great consideration when they designed this. When he leans one way his silencer scrapes, and when he leans the other way, his automatic transmission/swingarm (whatever you call it on an auto bike) scrapes. lol

  • Sure they did! You get an audible warning before dumping the scoot by leaning past the 40° limit to suspension travel.

  • thats nt really a solution, they should have made it so that the bike didnt lean far enough to scrape the exhaust. Or better yet, make the silencer go somewhere else, somewhere where it wont scrape on the floor wen it is leant over properly. An audible warning is all well and good, but a better exhaust would have been better. You don't see GSXR's and Fireblades with their silencers dragging on the floor, and they r meant for extreme leaning

  • i wonted 2 see him do a burnout

  • SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP..HAHAHALOL

  • Haha he was scrapping pegs and mufflers.

  • HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • o.k it makes sense , but you still look a pilock ! racing leathers on a scooter i ask you !

  • I have heard similar critics about my (non-race) leathers. But ... at 120 km/h you are totally having new skin if you scrape the ground without them. I should know. Still have the scars in my face from a fall at 40 km/h. And that was with a bike! :(

  • hey i fell off at 100kmh and only took the skin off my kneecap ! i ask a little bit of pain and its out with the leathers !

  • "but you still look a pilock ! racing leathers on a scooter i ask you !" yes, and a full face helmet as well, who does he think he is, Rossi?

  • Gravel rash is the same when falling off a scooter or a bike.

  • He may look like a pilock (what ever that is), but is it smarter to possibly rip your jaw off and skin your body to the bone because your NOT wearing the gear for fear of what someone might think you look like? Of course there are those who truely think a sweat band and flip-flops will protect them and to that I say to each his own.

  • I was been ironic, heck. I now won't ride without my Leatt Neck Brace, even on the road!

  • You're a good Man. I meant no disrespect. Ride safe.

  • Thank you Sir, I knew you did not. "Pillock" is an British term, used in South African as well but have not heard it here in NZ yet. Not very offensive, a fool basically. Cheers

  • Pillock is slang for prick!
