Flipping through channels, The History Channel aired a commercial advertising Top Gear USA'S third season. The first 2 episodes of the first season were horendous; why did they have a 3rd season? Knight Rider got cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons. This should've been cancelled. What was the BBC or The History Channel thinking when they picked a NASCAR groupie with a limited knowledge of cars, a bad driving New Yorker (NY & NJ have the highest rates of crashes), and a "comedian" with a dry wit?

ok i'll digress, since they have started this season while some of the UK Top Gear platform is there. They have improved it greatly by letting the show be american. It seems they are letting them be themselves a little more and not like their UK counterparts. UK is still better...but a few more tweaks and it could be a success
i think the haters need to chill. it's in its early stage. top gear uk didn't get as good as it is now till like the third season. no they don't have another clarkson, or another hammond, or captain slow. give it time.

Well, i like the top gear uk and us. I like the US version because they have one of the best drivers in the world, tanner foust. They drive everything, everywhere, which is cool. It's pretty bad. I thought that we were going to get the real Top Gear finally, and then this came on. I'm pretty sure the one I was watching, was a direct rip off of an original episode, with all the good things taken out.
British version has more witty, charismatic hosts. They arent afraid to speak their mind, and talk smack on certain cars. They definitely push the envelope further. They should just broadcast the brit version here, but I guess too many americans would shut their TV's off whenever they crack a homosexual joke.

The reason that this show died is because Americans arent falling for the "we can rehash the same thing with a new cover on it and it will also be a hit" scam. US TG is questionable at best...I think Adam is the best of the 3,tanner needs to lighten up on all the "Safety Dan" carp and Rutledge I don't know hes just kinda there.They also need to work on their chemistry/relationships toward each other because right now their all "friends" ;friends in the same way you are friends with a coworker,neighbor,mailman,teacher or a cashier at a store you shop at.IF all that gets fixed and it's moved to another channel i think TG might have a fighting chance.

I don't even remember this ever being on TV but I have been watching a few episodes and I have to say, I LOVE the UK Top Gear way better... America botches every good show that comes out of that country. Plus I am in love with Hammond. The banter on the UK Top Gear is more genuine and hilarious. This just blows.

British version has more witty, charismatic hosts. They arent afraid to speak their mind, and talk smack on certain cars. They definitely push the envelope further. They should just broadcast the brit version here, but I guess too many americans would shut their TV's off whenever they crack a homosexual joke.

what a terrible trailer. At first when i just heard of US top gear i was interested now that i seen this crappy trailer i don't want to see it. They shouldn NOT have added the moonshine run into the trailer. If the US version of top gear is anything like the boring moonshine run then it'll be just terrible. The UK top gear they're funny, witty, and extreme car enthusiast. This american version looks as if the 3 friends decided to make a video reviewing cars and call it top gear. DUMB!

The reason that this show died is because Americans arent falling for the "we can rehash the same thing with a new cover on it and it will also be a hit" scam. Top Gear was made in England and its what it is. If they want to make it a huge hit, they need to visit America like they do Europe...lets face it, if they stayed in England with only British Cars (there arent any) No one would watch that show either.

@UnIuckyChucky The producers of the American, and Australian top gear are the same ones as the UK top gear. They do that to basically try and make more money. Australia, and America wouldn't be allowed to use the name top gear or stig if they just did it on there own.
More people need to realize that it isn't a copy if the same people are doing it. Same thing goes with all British remake shows.
