Converts are somehow normally from the political left and I know some who have converted just because of the "intolerant Christians". I dont like Christians either but I wouldnt convert to Islam just because the politically conservatives are jerks. The only good thing I see in Islam is Sufism. @excalibur99000 Why do you need to know where God came from to believe in Him. Human mental faculties cannot comprehend everything. Universe for example is incomprehensible in infinite ways, why is it any harder to believe that the origin of God is too. When you were young and did not know where you came from, did you believe that you, in fact, don't exist? we may not know now where god came from (or maybe we do, im not a religious scholar) but the truth of the matter is that God is different

@excalibur99000 No particles reached critical mass and exploded to form this universe. You are even wrong in explaining what you believe in. The big bang theory suggests that the universe was an extremely dense ball of mass which expanded. It is a theory (and not a fact, mind you) based on the observation that galaxies are actually getting farther away from us. Big bang theory, or any science for that matter, does not still answer where that very initial mass came from
