Lets think about this... there are countries we're being compared to where not ALL kids go to school and take math as a subject. I was tutored by students from other countries who explained to me WHY the U.S. is so behind. We measure ALL students, while they measure their best and brightest.

@nytrayfl True to a certain extent...but US students were really good at math maybe 20-30 years ago.

That's because we're addicted to calculators. As for metric being easier, I knew this when I was 8 years old. This was in 1975, the year of the Metric Conversion Act. My body measurements went metric in 1983. My GPS is set to metric units. My weight went metric in 1992.
