THERE IS A GREAT BLU-RAY OUT BY GARY MOORE......GARY MOORE AND FRIENDS-A TRIBUTE TO PHIL LYNOTT.....IT IS AWESOME..... HAS THE OTHER THIN LIZZY MEMBERS GUEST APPEARING ON THE DISC ALSO.....MUST HAVE FOR LIZZY FANS
The dull clowns who call themselves rockers nowadays are just a bunch of corporate lame asses who live in mansions and piss and moan all the time even though they've got fuck all to say. Now these guys were the real deal! Best band ever. Pure unadulterated dynamite!
@obscurebandfan As a guitarist or a person? It was awesome for me as he was an early influence on my playing along with Michael Schenker, Nugent and A Young. I think he was half pissed :-) Long time ago 79/80 and he also jammed with a guy called Henry Gorman (great act). He's from Clarkston just outside Glasgow and I guess I guess I shouldn't have been surprised to meet him as i think he was visiting friends/family etc.
I'm 18, and its a shame that no one in my generation knows about this band in America. My dad got me into them when I was young and I've been a Lizzy fan ever since.
@sabretusk12 I've been a fan since 76 and you have to put it in the context of the time in America. Everything was still top 40. Elton John was king in the states back then and everythng was either top 40 cheese or stuff off albums you usually didn't hear on the radio. The good thing was most of the groups all sounded different so if you found a style of music you liked they usually put out a new album every year. Thin Lizzy was a word-of-mouth band here in the states, little radio airplay.
Wasn't this the only Lizzy song with lyrics by Scott Gorham? I seem to remember that he was credited for both music and words on this track. Brian Robertson had a sole writing credit for "Silver Dollar" on that record, too. And Brian Downey wrote both words and music for "Sitamoia," which wasn't on an album (it was part of the London "Rockers" compilation of early three-piece Lizzy tunes).
dude just be gratefull they've uploaded it. Don't know if you noticed it but Thin Lizzy isn't the best known band in the world. So just be glad when you can find their songs. (although I must admitt that isn't as hard as with some other bands.)
i got into Thin lizzy long after Lynott's death and listening to songs like these remind you that most other music is just bullshit compared to this stuff!!
Best Thin Lizzy lineup by far!!

@silverarrowslk As a person, I've heard he can be super nice one day and the opposite another day.

@silverarrowslk Lucky you. I'm jealous. I saw them only once - here in the states - post Robertson era.
Love this band.
