  • I loved this video, Aeri! :) Thank you for going back to the very beginning. I think your lessons will prove extremely helpful! If you have the time, you should go on edufire or something & offer to tutor Korean for some extra money. :) That way you benefit as well! I think they have where you can teach classes, too. It would be awesome! You'd definitely be a wonderful teacher. :)

  • Aeri, I've been trying for a LONG TIME to try and learn the Japanese language with only small progress, and only just getting into trying to learning the Korean language. Even with this intro I feel like i understand Korean more than Japanese!

    I used keynote to make this powerpoint for this lesson. It has neat design and some cool function for your presentation..but it has some serious problems to record voice and export the file to make it as a video. I might try to use Microsoft powerpoint for the future. Thanks :)

  • I loved your first introductory lesson. Probably for some this may seem juvenile and too basic, but I think your way of breaking down the language and explaining how Korean functions, and then comparing it to English really is helpful for those who are not used to learning an Asian language. Like myself.

    Yes.. please be patient.. I want to cover all kinds of different people in different level as much as I can.. so it will be really basic and easy for some people but someday we will all learn fluent Korean language also.. ^^ thanks

  • I am so glad you are doing this.  I am planning to take a trip to Korea for a week in November and I am trying to learn to speak, read and write. I am currently using Pimsleur's to build my spoken vocabulary but I feel that learning to read and write will give me a stronger foundation while getting around Seoul.

  • I'm really looking forward to this. I've basically learned Hangul but the hardest part for me to learn are the "vowels". Some sound basically alike and I can't wait to hear your pronunciations. Once I'm able to differentiate the sounds, I think Hangul will become easier for me read. Then I can progress to memorizing words and sentence structure. Thanks Aeri!!!
