With that front double twist vault, she always needs to be thinking to never land with locked knees. Doing so is always bad, but on those forward landing saltos it is even more important to avoid it. If she does, she is really risking a serious knee injury.

Are any women doing vaults in the 7s? Just curious.

@daboochmeister I would assume it'd a bit higher than that—handspring vaults in general for the women are rated higher, although yurchenkos (and oddly, tsukaharas as well) are rated lower (though in MAG similar vaults from the three families are equal). I would assume it would carry a 6.7 or 6.8 rating. To date the only vault rated over a 7 is the handspring double front (Produnova) rated at 7.1 and hasn't been done in world level competition since the 1999 Worlds.

I think the minor faults she had at the Olympics we're a great motivator because she's doing incredibly well. Her beam final routine at worlds last year we're incredible and she's improving it even more! She's gonna be on fire going into classics, visas, and worlds this year!
