5770's are crap??? Hell even the old 4850's and 4870's are still great for most games. Crossfire 5770's are no slouch either. Most systems these days are cpu bottlenecked so these super gpu's are wasted on them. My OC'ed phenom II x4 still bottlenecks my 5870 by almost 20% in some games. People need to realize systems should be built proportionately to their bottlenecks.

got the sapphire radeon hd 5770 with 4gb dd3 and a 3.3 ghz quad. BF3 on max reso and medium graphics with 50-80 fps, this game is a couple of years old so its no big deal for it. The 5770 is a strong card from 2009-2010 u know

Its not the graphics card that is keeping you from maxing out. It was your pc build. It was bad, I can play todays games on max settings with a gt 240. And the HD 5770 is way better in comparison.

5770 is still the best price/performance card there is today, even after it being 2 years old. At 1680x1050 and below, it maxes anything out with AA applied. Granted that's achieved with a quad core also, but still. My phenom II x4 955 and 5770 is more than enough at 1600x900.

I have 2 xfx 5770s crossfired and I can play everything maxed out full AA and AFx16. There is nothing wrong with the 5770. Not to mention I only have it coupled with a Phenom II x2 555 3.2ghz all stock. Just cause it wasn't released yesterday doesn't mean it doesn't have value.

Im sure the peak fps is 60 because with a single gpu AND Vsync ON should not pass 60 fps(dx10as you said) now if Vsync was off the fps will always increase. so without fraps should not get to 100 fps .

@munkycheeeeeez I already know about Windows XP, it runs better with older games. Obviously so, but I intend to move on. Windows 7 gives me the ability to put 8GB of my DDR2 memory into processes and the OS it self. While if a game only runs 32 bit, it can perform those tasks at the same time.  Games don't need 64 bit because they do not ever consume any more than a half of a gigabyte of memory to perform tasks. If you mean gaming wise, your attributes towards playing good... I don't care.

@munkycheeeeeez hmm, it isn't Windows 7... it is Gears of war. Windows 7 was made after Gears of War and Epic Games stopped supporting the PC version pretty fast. They've given up with PC games pretty much, and their tech support is pretty weak. There are many others that play games on Windows 7 and have this one issue regarding Gears of War. If this is the case, I would rather just get it on the Xbox 360 again and get even better quality game play.

The cool thing about this game is that the graphics ROCKS and you can max them out with high fps only with a computer like 8800gts640 mb edition + intel core 2 duo e6550 and 2gbs of ram :)
