  • Do you have "The Flame" from this show? One of the best Zander performances ever!

  • i love how he throws picks. its great.

  • Speaking of CHEAP TRICK and SPRING BREAK!>>> Do anyone have their song "Spring Break" from the T&A 80's movie of the same name?!!! It's the last song I need for my "Cheap Trick At the Movies" CD I'm making?!! Hello? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

  • Holy shit the guy from remote control ken ober!

  • Recently departed Ken Ober. Rest in peace.

  • Prime era???? glad that was mentioned because i saw them live many times, and I sware zander is still 25 years old. AND NAILING VOCALS!!! w/no effects

  • Nevermind the FACT that Cheap Trick are ridiculously AWESOME!, this was their "prime" era & while listening to this performance,Im thinking how rare it is to hear a band this tight & rock'n live (!!) This particular performance is on fire!!

  • If Rick Nielsen didn't do music for a living, he would do well in comedy:he's a lot funnier than most comedians.

  • Wow, what an awesome memory, I remember watching this at 13 years old, back in 1989 when MTV rocked. A time when all the "hair bands" were still cool, all that music was awesome. I have been thinking of this Cheap Trick spring break show for years now, to see it again is so cool! Seriously, Cheap Trick at Spring Break, try that these days on MTV! It's all a bunch of hip hop crap now, and actually has been since 1990, this was the last cool MTV spring break. CHeap Trick ROCKS!

  • I've been watching these three clips of this concert becsaue I was there when it happened. I agree about MTV still being somewhat relevant at that time; but it was definitely on it's way out. It got a last gasp from Grunge and then tanked..

Buster Poindexter, aka David Johansen, played his Hot, Hot, Hot song and was a guest host. Even back then, I could sense that MTV was taking a turn for the worse by relying more on 'characters' and gimmicks than music. Great concert, though.

  • As I watched this, I turned on MTV to see what was going on now. Some reality show. It's so sad how Music Television doesn't play music anymore.

Awesome concert, btw. As a young fan, I wish I'd been around in these days. Cheap Trick is one of the few bands from the 70s-80s who is still great.

  • Cheap Trick was acknowledged properly in the top 20 on VH1's 100 greatest rock bands. They truly inspired many bands today and still have the magic. One of the best bands I've seen live thanks to Rick Neilsen, Robin and the always charismatic Bun E. Carlos.

  • Holy shit its Ken Ober from remote control!

  • that was a great show.......i'm fuckin' old!!

  • Lol.....You and me both! I was also at that show!!!

  • I remember this big time.

My mom's sister and my cousin came for a visit and i was sicker than a dog that weekend with the flu. Seems funny, that during this show and afterwards I was running around the house and I was okay and then my aunt took one look at me and I had my color back in my face and she turned to my mom and said: I THINK SHE'S OKAY NOW!! YOU THINK!!

Well, duh. Tom's sweating in that suit especially during Auf Wiedershen! Baby!!

    ROCK ON!!!

  • WOW! Cheap Trick "LIVE" on MTV!! This was such a cool concert. I ONLY heard about it, from friends who knew I loved the band, days after it was aired. I was so frickin' disappointed!! Thank You, Thank You from ALL Cheap Trick fans in the world!! YOU ROCK!!!

Cheap Trick Cheap Trick Cheap Trick

The Worlds Greatest Power Pop Band!!
