CLASSIC comedy like this is funny EVERYTIME. Kind of like watching the Road Runner; you KNOW you're going to see the coyote fall off the cliff and make that small "poof" at the bottom but it's STILL funny..and you will watch it again and again. Rodney was a genius.He and Carlin had different styles of humor that's all. They were both funny.

i see people talking about george carlin and i wanted to put my 2 cents in. Carlin always had new and funny material. He (for the most part) never recycled his act. His act was always new. always fresh stuff not the same jokes that he did 10 years ago. he was probably a genius.

I do think that Dangerfield was an amazingly funny comedian though and one of my favourites.

He did way less shows than Rodney. Also he had much more mundane jokes, that carried on for a long time. Rodney would tell close to a hundred or so one liners per show. I dare you to find a one-liner comic who doesn't recycle. If you succeed, I commend you.

Tust me, nothing against Carlin, hes one of my favourite comedians, I'm just sayin.
