  • Also, Matt started his spiritual quest a devout believer, studying to be a minister. So, initially he believed, wanted to learn more so that he could teach and make better arguments, and then came to the conclusion that he was wrong.

  • Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

  • What a bunch of babble! The Holy Bible has ZERO contradictions if using the KJV. The problem so many have is understanding what and who the Bible is about, which is, the bloodline, genealogy of Jesus Christ, and His purpose in coming, starting in Genesis all the way to completion in Revelation.

Looking for someone to help understand the Word? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal and guide you to the Truth of His Word.

Pastor Murray of Shepherds Chapel teaches precept upon precept.

  • Dillahunty has made some solid points in his time. This is not one of them. Granted, he's quoting somebody else, but the psychological skewing he is referring to is not particular to any one group (e.g. theists, Christians, et cetera). There is plenty of it to go around, even with atheists. And I say that as a former militant atheist.

  • LOL....I love atheists. The ironic part he is doing the exact same thing; only difference is that he is on the other side. He approaches the bible with a presupposition that it is not true and not inspired by God.

The same arguments he makes against apologists can also be used against him.

  • @soljia17 I love you too

  • @soljia17 Maybe him approaching the bible with the presupposition that it is not true has something to do with the content of the bible, like, I don't know, lets say, senior citizens surviving being eaten by giant fish, every animal specie contained in one boat, claims of the earth being 6000 years old insteand of 4.54 billion years... just to mention a few.

    Just saying.

  • @soljia17

Do you initially accord all religious documents the same deference you accord the Bible, i.e. as true and inspired by the deities those documents claim actually exist?

Is this how you have approached the Christian writings not included in the New Testament, the Qur'an, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Buddhist canon, the Book of Mormon, the Celestine Prophecy, the channelled revelations of Ramtha?

If not, what consistent, rational criterion led you to refuse them that deference?

  • @soljia17 What utter rubbish.

  • MAT the DILL blocks valu777 is he afraid?

Mat 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. Servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. Are you the enemy of GOD sowing bad seed?

  • @valu777 You quoted the bible. Maybe I could quote another book? Why should we trust the bible?

  • @gotitans999 Why should we trust the bible?== easy the bible tells the end from the beginning == it tells us the fiuture == only God can tell the future = the bible is from God

  • @valu777 But why do you believe that?

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 if you read the bible you can see that it fortells the future

  • @valu777 What did it "fortell"?

  • @Zentz29 1A band of evildoers has encompassed me;

2They pierced my hands and my feet.

17 I can count all my bones.

    They look, they stare at me;

18 They divide my garments among them,

And for my clothing they cast lots.

who would this be talking about?

  • @valu777 It's one story in a book. You happen to think that it magically foretells another story from later in that book.

A book edited and complied by groups of men that decided what would be included and what would be omitted.

Based on this rigorous requirement for evidenciary support, I guess we can safely conclude that Harry Potter really exists because the books foretold the conflict between Harry and Voldemort.

  • @valu777 Wow, you use circular logic.

"the bible is true, because if you read it, it says the bible is true."

The bible is a book of laughable fairytales. It is nothing but utter fantasy. People should laugh at people who believe it.

Yes i says about the start of the world, but we know that DIDNT happen.

  • @itchygonads the bible is true because it tells the end from the beginning

  • @valu777 So they fuck what? I can say the start and the beggining, does that make me true? You are so damn gullible, The bible is not true. Not at all.

  • @itchygonads excuse me the bible is loaded with scriptures that foretell events , some events some thousands of years later , many of these events have come to pass and many are yet to occur , example the Jews returning ti Israel is foretold in the bible = only God knows the future = research it and be amazed!!!!
