To be honest I would rather have kept, Meireles, good squad player, in the two games he played for us this season he did come on a make a difference. My only gripe with him was for a midfielder, he was a total shithouse, never tackled, his pace is poor and his stamina never improved at Anfield. I think you need more from a midfielder week in week out, rather than the ocassional goal. Very similar contribution for LFC as Garcia and Yossi.

Torres was a flop the last season he was at Liverpool. Meireles is playing pretty well just not the goal-scoring mid he was at Liverpool.
