@2kidsfreestyle it'll help more to jump more up. if you're landing on your knees facing the same direction that you started from, you dont need to improve the twist. jumping up will give you more time to flip, so you'll land on your feet.
You should go outside after gym and bust a backflip a few times and then the next day just get in peace and quiet and pretend your at the gym that's how I did mine
Hey When you said have it down. Iv been trying for over a month now to get my back flip I can walk in a gym. And just bust it. I have even been doing it on the cement in the gym to get use to it . here is how i landed this. get on a trampoline, do a backflip. you should land facing lets say north. then do a backflip again, but just spin a ittle bit till you land facing west. then keep doing this spining just a little bit more each time untill you have done a backflip 180. then keep repeating the same process. make sure you keep your body flat like a board. dont tuck. keep legs together. keep your arms in an crossed. i put out a bunch of pillows and blankets in apile around the spot i land
Dude, i had backflip 360s this morning just in my garden. I did about 10, but after i slipped and landed on my neck. I took about a 20minute break and then when I was about to try again I got scared and now I can't do them. Any tip on how to get it?
@10ace7 get on a trampoline. jump strait up and just do simple 180s. then move up to 360. just practice this a whole lot. then you want to try and jump back and do a horizontal 360 and land on your back. keep your arms crossed and legs strait. then after you can do a good spin and land strait and balanced just follow the steps in my last post.

@Tinsletooth thanks but I have way to much power and added height to start on a trampoline, my trainners and coaches just stick me on a rod floor and be prepared to catch me if I fall. I wish I could be spotted in my tummbling or in anything but my coaches literally can't reach me lol.So I'll take advise from anyone. But anyway I have it, and a standle double, araibian, double ariabian, etc =D

@regislindo Can you backflip? If not, then have some spotters help you until you are comfortable on your own, but make sure they no how to spot, so they don't get you injured. If you are scared of throwing the 360 into it, start small with a 180. Also try it on a trampoline or at a gym with softer landings.

Okay so I can do it on tumble trak at my gym, btw I'm a power tumbler and so I get major height in any tumbling or jump I do, but my problem is that once I complete the full my feet miss the mat. It's kind of like I'm over-rotating in the landing. Any advice????
@Epic1 Lmao omg every coach I've ever had in my life has told me that exact samething!!!! And evreytime I slow down my motions I can't land anything cause it's kind of like tumbling in slow motion lol!!! And I just learned to control some of my power yesterday without running... @shanshanrere make your head sit in one position dont look anywhere just straight or to your rotation. everytime your head starts moving your body follows it remedied my problem.
@shanshanrere Why are you asking for Epic1's advise on tumbling? He doesn't tumble, he tricks. They are completely different. Tumbling requires a lay out, with both arms in the air and then dropping 1 arm to the side to get your spin. Anyways my advise to you is learn to gauge your layouts and fulls on a trampoline first, learn how to spin how fast you want. Also try not running as fast, stick it on that speed then increase the speed stick it on that speed ect.

i train off and on and right now when i do a backflip (and always since i started) i blackout and i never tuck. i whip my backflips. i can do them off my car and other platforms, but hit my toes then land on my knees when i do them off the ground. i tried a full twist off a platform before and almost made it. but i cant do a half and always go for a full. i am confused on these subjects. any tips you can help me with?
I dont see how this way and the gymnastics way are any different. Im a gymnast and i do it this way. Then again i did kinda teach myself to do a standing full.
3rd post! The thing with standing fulls is you must put all your energy into the backflip (on hard floor) or you wont make it and very little energy into the full! Flipping is more important than spinning and your spin should happen very naturally with little effort. For the full all you have to do is drop your arms and rotate your head to one side and that should be enough to spin you. last little tip your set should look like this / which will happen if your arms hit the end of rotn ovr head
2/2 Now for your standing fulls. first off you need to be able to spin and flip at the same time a drill to help with this is to do a back flip to belly and when youre belly is on the way to the ground you spin half way and land on your back then all the way, obviously you do this on a trampoline or mat. When you get that down you put the back flip and full together. The most important part to get the standing full is to really crunch your knees up twrds your body. Will continue on a 3rd post.
1/2 I have my standing fulls down and a few tips to learn is to first improve you back tuck a proper back tuck should look like a back roll in the air, pulling and rotating hips,knees and feet over your head and leading with your feet. For the set you need to sit with your chest Knees and toes inline and hands down and all the way back then as you jump let your arms go as far back in the upward overhead position while shrugging youre shoulders.
so. does YOUR body naturaly bring your knees into your chest, but not into a full tuck like if you were doing just a standing backflip? or should I focus on bringing them in a little so im not just doing a lay out thus risking an injury?

Okay so I can do it on tumble trak at my gym, btw I'm a power tumbler and so I get major height in any tumbling or jump I do, but my problem is that once I complete the full my feet miss the mat. It's kind of like I'm over-rotating in the landing. Any advice????

@Epic1 Lmao omg every coach I've ever had in my life has told me that exact samething!!!! And evreytime I slow down my motions I can't land anything cause it's kind of like tumbling in slow motion lol!!! And I just learned to control some of my power yesterday without running... I need to learn fast or I'm going to kill my coaches from tumbling =D

@Epic1 I found balance on balance beam with those 3 expensive years of competive gymnastics lol!!! Hhaha my new trick that I just thought of is to spot something in front of me and spot it when it's time for me to land, or to simply look at my feet. Do you think that will work????? =D

@shanshanrere make your head sit in one position dont look anywhere just straight or to your rotation. everytime your head starts moving your body follows it remedied my problem.

@shanshanrere Why are you asking for Epic1's advise on tumbling? He doesn't tumble, he tricks. They are completely different. Tumbling requires a lay out, with both arms in the air and then dropping 1 arm to the side to get your spin. Anyways my advise to you is learn to gauge your layouts and fulls on a trampoline first, learn how to spin how fast you want. Also try not running as fast, stick it on that speed then increase the speed stick it on that speed ect.

hey epic i jus tried a standing full for the very first time today..my rotation started ok but then i jus stopped in the middle of it and i landed on my shoulder..my height felt good..i recorded it nd the height didnt look to bad but i jus landed all wrong cud u give me some advice? thnx epic plz reply! xD

i train off and on and right now when i do a backflip (and always since i started) i blackout and i never tuck. i whip my backflips. i can do them off my car and other platforms, but hit my toes then land on my knees when i do them off the ground. i tried a full twist off a platform before and almost made it. but i cant do a half and always go for a full. i am confused on these subjects. any tips you can help me with?

I dont see how this way and the gymnastics way are any different. Im a gymnast and i do it this way. Then again i did kinda teach myself to do a standing full.

3rd post! The thing with standing fulls is you must put all your energy into the backflip (on hard floor) or you wont make it and very little energy into the full! Flipping is more important than spinning and your spin should happen very naturally with little effort. For the full all you have to do is drop your arms and rotate your head to one side and that should be enough to spin you. last little tip your set should look like this / which will happen if your arms hit the end of rotn ovr head

2/2 Now for your standing fulls. first off you need to be able to spin and flip at the same time a drill to help with this is to do a back flip to belly and when youre belly is on the way to the ground you spin half way and land on your back then all the way, obviously you do this on a trampoline or mat. When you get that down you put the back flip and full together. The most important part to get the standing full is to really crunch your knees up twrds your body. Will continue on a 3rd post.

1/2 I have my standing fulls down and a few tips to learn is to first improve you back tuck a proper back tuck should look like a back roll in the air, pulling and rotating hips,knees and feet over your head and leading with your feet. For the set you need to sit with your chest Knees and toes inline and hands down and all the way back then as you jump let your arms go as far back in the upward overhead position while shrugging youre shoulders.

so. does YOUR body naturaly bring your knees into your chest, but not into a full tuck like if you were doing just a standing backflip? or should I focus on bringing them in a little so im not just doing a lay out thus risking an injury?
